Yeah, good point. Dr Johnson cannot continue to be FC Deputy Chair once the LC election result is declared. If Denis goes soonish (as is being reported), then it may be 3P have the numbers at the next FC Board meeting to install Chidiak as Deputy over there.I also believe, and I would happy be proved wrong that Dr Johnston was Deputy Chair of the FC and that being the case, I have a feeling either Mr Gerard or Mr Chidiac will now have to fill that roll. Something I can see happening after the next FC Board Meeting.
Sorry Terry, but nothing I read there shows me why complete change (7 Directors) has to happen, given it would contradict the Constitution and rules under which the election was conducted.Spider, complete change can be an unknown factor for a lot of people, but it has to happen. Do you really believe we were not in discussion with the current sponsors? This club needs a clean cut fresh start, and the new directors, ALL SEVEN received a clear mandate from the voting members...77% of the vote in fact. Did you see one sponsor of this club come out in support of the incumbent board before the election?
No disrespect Terry, but you fail to mention one single reason or detail why this complete change is apparently necessary for the club's "success", rather than the 5-2 result that was returned under the Club's rules.Success stems from the man at the top to the ballboy, everyone knows their job and does it, on and off the field, and a culture and a confidence becomes infectious to all involved, supporters start to sense it and the joint starts to rock. The calls received this week from sponsors and members of this club alike, is astonishing, they can feel the wind of change. It will not happen over night, but do not under estimate the players we have, or Daniel, as months of not uncertainty have now gone, and success has to have a starting point and this is it.
To do this, there must be a complete change, and a clear mandate for change has been put forward by the members, so get to the meeting today and have your voice, fill the room and show you want to be part of successful change. Turn the computer off, and get off your arse and put your views to the people who will be in the boardroom, all 7 of them.
Sorry Terry, I hadn't seen this later response of yours when making teh previous post.I understand everyones concerns about complete change, but a lot of corporate money wont come on board without it. These are very successful and capable people, and the arguments against complete change are futile, one because anything major has to be voted on by the members, and second every member of the new board have been associated with the club as sponsors, season ticket holders, worked for the club etc.
They are here for one reason, our football team, but their expertise in business ensures our clubs future. All any of us has wants is success for every aspect of the club.

Fair enough. And if you'd be so bold to yell out, that would be much appreciated .
I reckon Malcolm Turnbull's office must exist in a parallel dimension... but maybe 3P's Twitter feed will be in action tonight?
