Spider, complete change can be an unknown factor for a lot of people, but it has to happen. Do you really believe we were not in discussion with the current sponsors? This club needs a clean cut fresh start, and the new directors, ALL SEVEN received a clear mandate from the voting members...77% of the vote in fact. Did you see one sponsor of this club come out in support of the incumbent board before the election? Success stems from the man at the top to the ballboy, everyone knows their job and does it, on and off the field, and a culture and a confidence becomes infectious to all involved, supporters start to sense it and the joint starts to rock. The calls received this week from sponsors and members of this club alike, is astonishing, they can feel the wind of change. It will not happen over night, but do not under estimate the players we have, or Daniel, as months of not uncertainty have now gone, and success has to have a starting point and this is it. To do this, there must be a complete change, and a clear mandate for change has been put forward by the members, so get to the meeting today and have your voice, fill the room and show you want to be part of successful change. Turn the computer off, and get off your arse and put your views to the people who will be in the boardroom, all 7 of them.

Terry,

I would have discussed things over the phone with you, but you won't pick up. There are a few flaws above and take it how you will, I'm not phased one bit. Firstly, the club needed a fresh start. Correct. You and we all got it. Seven 3P members got an overwhelmingly majority of the votes. Correct again. In the past now, move on. DF did not block the 6th and 7th candidates with the highest votes, the constitution did which has been in place a damn long time and for good reasons. Did any sponsors come out for the incumbants before the election, No, they didn't. But they didn't for 3P either, not while I was there and not after. You write that success stems from the man at the top. Well thats great, for this week we don't have one and the whole senior management team right now is concerned because NO direction is being given by the new directors. A tip for you. Get the newly voted Directors to calm the staff down and tell them that they are not under threat if that is the case.

That leads to the next point of saying that through the top man and success, everyone else down to the ballboy then knows their role. Wrong. As per two sentences ago, people are in fear at the moment and I know because I witnessed it today. One person in particular who will remain nameless was nearly in tears. Would have been nice if Roy or someone else would have eased that persons concerns. I'll ring Sid because I know he will be decent enough to deal with these issues.

Your comment about needing complete change. Unless 3P have missed the serious sledgehammer that was wielded, I am happy to enlighten them. You got it. 5-2 is the best form of complete change that you are going to get during May 09. Stop the bickering and enjoy the fact that you have two old heads in Ron & Geoff to pass on some advice or knowledge from past dealings. Again, I and many I have spoken to are begging you to MOVE on.

The time of taking Parra through the mud should have ceased by now. Many fans are talking about it still going on. Heres my take on how to move forward.

1) Tell Massoud to STFU, everyone bar a few got what they wanted so stop with the *edit*.
2) Talk to DF and make it as painless on everyone involved as possible and stop dragging more sh*t into it.
3) Tell the Directors that your mates with to start having a calming influence on the staff of the club and let them know that all will be alright.
4) Stop f*cking bickering over two damn spots on a board when you already have a majority and start implementing decent changes that you are aware of that need to be made to improve the joint.
5) Continue the communication with the people (fans & Sponsors included). Your doing the job, but the rest have gone walkabout as per usual.
6) Start getting positive. Lets get some good stories out into the press about our junior sides in a Grand Final or a new sponsor that 3P is bringing on board. For F*cks sake, Move forward and as one. There is no need for 3P anymore. There need's to be a united board.

Regards,

Col.

I understand everyones concerns about complete change, but a lot of corporate money wont come on board without it. These are very successful and capable people, and the arguments against complete change are futile, one because anything major has to be voted on by the members, and second every member of the new board have been associated with the club as sponsors, season ticket holders, worked for the club etc.
They are here for one reason, our football team, but their expertise in business ensures our clubs future. All any of us has wants is success for every aspect of the club.

The complete change that was discussed prior to the FC election was in regards to DF not being at the head. Not whether 3P got 7 seats or 5. They wanted change. Change has happened. More change will have occured by next week. Time for the sponsors to step up, or shut up. The only sponsors who should have the right to comment are current ones or ones that are now willing to step into the light.

I hope you still feel that way in 2 years because I might need the support. If I do run, I won't be stepping down like last time.

onya Col. Sounds like there is a lot more to it imo. It was very weird when it all went down and you pulled out. Anyway good luck.
