it really goes to show how difficult it is to coach this side, we're an absolute rabble and basket case and to be quite honest, with the exception of Nathan Hindmarsh and Kris Keating, I no longer give a sh*t who leaves the club

I share your pain Stagger

The lack of pride comment from the coach is a comment that should have been made a long time ago.

Absolutely, despite the fact that I think that we're not too far away from where we should be...

I don't think all of them did not try, while yes I agree with Anderson's comments we lacked pride and passion in th jersey at times. Some of these players are just not first grade standard, they just can't do it in first grade.

Three backrowers names specifically come to mind!

Most fans have more pride and passion than the players.
The game the way it is today with players changing clubs every 2nd season means they don't get pride in a jersey as everytime they look down at their chest they have a different colour jersey on. Most of the players are just after money$$$ thats the reason they play the game, not the jersey not the club. We have a high percentage of these types of players in our squad at present.

Its really bloody annoying isn't it.
I could do a sh*thouse job at work, and still get my
money every month, but I dont, its called Pride in Workmanship,
and to tell you the truth, its vanishing from most industries.

the truth is, Hindy's absence has shone the light and shown everyone how pathetic & lazy the side is defensively and how ineffective the forwards are in attack.

Hindy = The New Mayor of Parramatta!!!

And for the people who says that alot of Hindy's tackles are flops or unnecessary 2nd man tackles, that may be the case but the point of those tackles is to ensure that the attacker is tackled.

At least he gives 2 hoots to ensure that they are tackled.

How much WILL WE miss Hindy once he hangs up his boots / goes to ESL...

There won't be another like him... we'll need 2 or 3 to replace the workload he does in defense at the moment!

He makes sure they don't get a magical offload away, and helps slow down the play the ball. Invaluable.

I've always said that he is the master of slowing the ruck. I don't know is it because it is Hindy or is it because the ref is checking his crack!!!

But he rarely gets penalized for it.

Furthermore, when he is at marker, players like Ennis is kept honest as Hindy covers the markers extremely well even if they are speedy little guys.

isn't it funny how 2 of the most successful years being 2001 & 2007 (post 86') featured the Brothers Hindmarsh... !?!?!

These guys laid the platform together.. amazing what happens when there is more than 1 forward willing to get off his ass to do something.

I'd give my left Nut to see the likes of Petrol Seventycentsalitre or Steve Price running around in our front row as opposed to the Pea Hearts we have now.

You know what the thing with Parra to me is?
Remember last year when you played the Panfers at Penriff and were down 26-8 and in the second half you went bang bang bang and surpassed Penriff with 3 tries in 5 minutes?
It's in you.
That's still in you.

Just go back to basics.
Ball control for f*ck sake.
Don't try to be too flashy out of dummy half.
Go forward with your 8, 10, 11, 12 and 13 before you get creative with 9.
9 is trying to do too much in my opinion.

Do the basics right. go back to basics.
You're panicking so early in the season already.
The seasons only started. Relax and enjoy your games.
With time comes results.
Keep trying.
But lower it a gear.
You're trying to play higher than your expectations based on Inu, Hayne and Mateo's previous explosions from 2 years ago.
They're not living up to that style today as it's took its toll.

Want my opinion? Get rid of Cayless. He's tired.
There's a start.

One thing that I noticed (and I thought was a major concern) after watching endless replays of parts of the match was the lack of chase from the inside defenders... especially evident in Pattons first try. There seems to be a "not my job" type of mentality and the body language of some of the players is a dead set giveway that they just arent committed. I thought it was evident a few weeks back against the roosters... in particular when hayne was too busy complaining about being impeded than actually chasing a roosters player who scored. Whilst I'm not singling hayne out just check his lazy defence in the dogs last try. There just seems to be no effort in helping each other out... if the man outside you is beaten in defence then you have to work to cover his a**, just not jog alongside the attacker making no attempt to stop him... just watch the replay... its there for all to see.

Could not agree more.

Not just that try - almost every one.

We were incredibly vulnerable to a direction shift. Blokes were deadset clocking off. Meteo was probably the worst candidate IMO.

Plenty of times Fui had to be the man covering the inside for other players. Considering he was the only one making inroads in attack after Eric went off, the others should be ashamed.
