Red... remember the dogs saw promise in klemmer and signed him to a 3 year 350k per year contract before he played a single first grade game.
They are known to throw big dollars at young guys if they see potential.
Lloyd perrett is on 280k a year and he is a flop.
Leilua would be offered 300-350k per year by a numner of clubs.
Williams wouldnt be offered more then 400k thanks to his inconsistencies... so the price wouldnt be very different.
150k, 250k, 350k ...arguments for and against to support any value. Jack Bird signed with the Sharks for a rumoured 200k a season so in comparison Leilua would get 150k at the same point of their career and potential shown... Other variables such as first grade opportunities also come into play...but anyway ..
What I'm most dissapointed about is the fact we are discussing his value at all. The club has once again acted way too slowly for my liking in getting a future star under contract , and allowing this to drag on to the point it's just begging for another club to poach him..
Any day of the week he would be a priority before the club should even be looking external at Williams, who is inconsistent at best over 2+ years.
They don't seemed to have learned anything from the Bird situation...
