On his part for deserting his junior club at the first opportunity to join those filthy mongrels.

To be fair to the kid, he's had a taste of McGregor's coaching. Why would he want to sign up to more of that? He knows McGregor's not going to help him reach his full potential and get him playing rep footy to command the big bucks. Hard to hold it against him. He's just thinking of his future. Can't blame him for that.

How right you are ! The absolute incompetence of the Board is just mind boggling .
Here was a junior who showed glimpses of what is bound to be a very bright future in the game . And they have let him go . That can only mean that Tony Williams will be announced in the not too distant future as the clubs major signing for 2017 . Well done you pack of clowns .

I am glad that the Dragon hierarchy from years past are no longer on this earth to witness
such a debacle , truly we are now indeed the laughing stock of the game .

Like I said, on the clubs part for letting it happen.

By this I mean not making the changes to the coaching structure to instil some confidence to ensure we can both retain and recruit quality players.

The fact that this situation has festered this long has all but ruined our chances of succes next year with available players both internal and external having no faith in the clubs ability to plan for the future.

Simply inept and negligent management of all aspects of the club.

Wouldn't it be nice to think such basic, good business practices like exit interviews took place at the Dragons?

The "board" is probably unaware that he was off-contract......like "whose this Leilua bloke we thought he was already playing for the Raiders, but yes we are always intetested in signing quality players. We will get Ian to give him a call"

Or, they (Dragons) are saying we gave him a pathway to NRL (unlike Bird) but unfortunately he decided to go in another direction.
