LER Grand Final

S.M Pia play FCL Lezignan this weekend in the LER Grand Final, should be a good match as these two teams finished 1 and 2 on the table this year.

The game will be played at Stade de la Méditerranée - Béziers on May 17th, Capacity: 20,000, will be interesting to see how many turn up.

Hopefully with this new Pay Tv station popping up in France, they might get hold of the LER comp as they will need content, then if it does any good, we might be able to get the GF shown in a few years time.

Considering they're both only small towns it's a pretty good crowd. Looks like half of Lezignan is there.

Good game, quite exciting and I'm glad Lezignan won. Seb Martin's injury was a turning point as Pia lost their best go forward man who was just starting to rip clean through Lezignan's defence in t'middle.

Lezignan had enough chances to score which they blew, and on the balance of things they were the better side I thought.

There weren't any really outstanding French performances on the day I thought, although the aggressive Pia back row, Knecht, could be one for the WC.
