we had a minute silence at our offices today, this dumb ass kept jibbering away, and after the silence, someone said to him "are you right?! Show some repsect there are people here whose grand fathers fought for this country!!!" he replied, what my grandfather didnt.."(He is from a mediteranain background). I replied no, but if my grandfather hadnt fought for this country, your family wouldnt have been able to move here!!

lest we forget indeed, today i went to a funeral of ayoung friend aged just 35 the funeral ended at exactly 11.00. so when we are all winging about our lot just think of a beautiful young girl named tracy who died a painful death from cancer RIP tracy we will miss you

At my kids school they get all the children to stand for a minute silence which is great, it teaches them respect.
I guess all schools do it though, at least i hope they do.

Here in Engalnd they celebrate Remembrance/Armistace Day on the nearest weekend and have a two minute silence, so its Sunday 14th this year. Kind of like the same level of things for our Anzac Day.
