Do you support Dave Simmons continual selection in the first grade team over such players as Merrit and McGoldrick?

well I dont think he should be dropped now, because he has showed some signs of improvement.
but geez its takien him a while. and thats what i didnt agree with, his continual selection when it was very clear that he was absolutely crap.

Didnt we have a similar poll to this before.

My ultimate preference is Mellor wing McGoldrick center.

Simmo has gone well the past few weeks but still needs to be helped around the field by the likes of Peach and Vagana. I am willing to go with him while we are winning to allow him to improve but if he has any major fugg ups that cost us games he should go. Sounds harsh but we wont be getting any chances come finals time, and if a player is there for the sake of 'development' and we lose a finals game because of it, im sure all hell will break loose on this forum.

How could the player in round one be the same guy from round ten. He had to improve or be dropped. He improved and therefore should not be dropped.
Simple as that.

Doesn't the fact you think he should be in the side now validate Rapers reason for leaving him in so he can become a quality first grade winger?

he wasnt learning how to be a quality first grade winger, he was learning how to be a winger. thats it, just a winger. he shouldnt have been doing that in first grade, rather in PL or flegg.

To learn to compete at the top level you have play in the top grade! The only way you improve is to match yourself against the best!

yep i agree MS. but before you play in first grade, you must learn how to play footy. you dont learn how to play footy in the top grade.

Aswome speed, so far good positional play, been one of your big game breakers (catching Bowen and Tate, that lifts the team).

Id love him in my team, but for now, he should stay in FG.

Not if you have never played the position before that you are playing at the top level. You learn your trade in the grade below until you are ready to best tested at the top.

Bear with Mighty Spuds. He's a "special boy". He needs to make a poll to tell him what everyone here already knows. That the majority will vote to keep Simmons in the team.

This proves only that MS is insecure in his opinions, lacking any real conviction in his beliefs and suffers from Nigel No Friends Syndrome.

The poll will make him feel better. He'll now be able to go nyah nyah nyah. He'll be able to cling onto the results for years to come and dredge it out when he's feeling lonely and depressed.

He may even have a rudimentary plan to use the poll against his evel oppressors!

I'm all a quiver!

Ugh, if it's not BBSF with Covell, it's Mighty Spuds with Simmons.

I'd prefer Merrit over Simmons.

A couple of games ago i wanted him gone. He has played well in these last two games so i say keep him. But if he plays like he did in the first 7 odd rounds again let newton test him.

MS keep him in firsts. seriously. he is going alot better than before. he is maturing. i remember watching him a couple of years ago in premier leaugue and he played pretty good at fullback. the wing...ehh...he's ok in my book. i can't believe what i just said

my mates on the hill don't mind him and they have been trying to get me appreciate him. so i do know some other serious sharks fans who don't mind him

still his one handed ball runs do scare me...sorry the handbag look. i hope it doesn't backfire
