I am hoping for, and expecting a big season from Fulton next year. I expect him to come on in his development as the likes of Farah & Heighno have (Bronson another in this boat imo, but thats another thread)
The season he lost last year to the shoulder injury really set back his development...towards mid season this year we started to see the classy player we know he can be...ball players only get better with maturity, hes pushing on 80 FG games now...I think we might see a big yeard from Fults next season.

I hope we do Ink.

I still have question marks over him in the pack with his size right now. But I hope this becomes a non issue

I thought he really came on at season's end.
Class player who can hit holes well is a great defender and superb support player
Wonder if he'll stay in the pack or if he might head out to the centres ...

Problem is you can't carry too many small fellas in the pack, whilst he has a good tehnique, close to the line he hasnt much hope.

Love the bloke but he needs some big boppers with him.

Hows that chequebook going, surely we could snag one of those Tongan Rugby blokes for a $55,000 and an apartment above the leagues club.

With Ben Galea gone there aren't too many small players left in the forward pack.

Heighington, Harrison, Te'o and Saffy could all spend time in the backrow and they're all over 100kg.

The three undersized back rowers would be Halatau, Fulton and D. Galea and I'd exect only two of them would be in first grade, one at lock the other as the bench utility.

Still not a damaging prop forward or 2nd rower, Like payten is a defending/ball playing prop and gibbs is just a workhorse. I guess thats why we bought O'Hara and Galloway in hopes they would be a powerhouse prop.

We need a blocker mk II.

That is true, but I see the front row situation as a different issue.

From a purely size perspective the forward pack next season, while it won't be like the Broncos or Warriors packs from this year, won't be as undersized as it has been in the past.

The props aren't really the problem with our pack, we don't have any metre making forwards. I think this is an area that Heighno will remedy next season.

Fulton should move to Lock permanently.

I agree that lock is his spot, too small IMO to be a second rower,i think te'o fits the bill in the second row bigger rangier types that have a good stand and offload in them but can also break the line as well. ala ryan hoffman build.

I think he could have a good year aslong as he stays injury free. Hopefully he play at lock foward or put him on the bench.

Liams form at the end of the year was AWESOME......his game against the Knights reminded me of the great Junior Pearce.

If he keeps that form up then he could be anything.

Liam will carve up next year- rep duties await.

yeah if Sheens is the coach again. Come on Gibbs and Collis are not nuffies but gibbs cant even command starting prop at tigers yet he plays rep footy??
And you guys mock the kiwis for people being able to walk into the team.

He is definetly has some talent - but god dang he is small for a forward. They should make him move in with Tuiaki and Moimoi and get him on that corn-beef and taro for the offseason and build up some muscle.

He pretty good a running good line and finding holes - but he needs to be either faster or stronger to take advantage of them.

Probably favourite for 13 - but Halatau, Teo and Harrison may also be used in the back row with Heighnigton.
Heighnington has a big workload - so fultons high tackle count might not be enuff to get him that starting spot.

Not sure yet, i am still holding out hoping we are going to buy some decent player or players from the current contract, but i do know that fulton isnt the next best player after that pack you quoted.

Fulton to the Centres
Lewis Brown to Lock

Not a bad concept. But i think Fulton's ballplaying skills would be wasted there. I'd prefer Halatau to play left centre, Fulton to stay at lock being able to create gaps and find holes sniffing around the ruck area. Halatau with his straighter style running and lesser extent of ball skills would see him go back to centre(or if you wish, "a VERY wide running 2nd rower") suiting his style of play with short bursts of impact play to do severe damage in opposition's defensive lines in attack. His defensive issues would be almost non-existant, so no probs that i can see there. I would think Halatau's time has come to bounce back from his shoulder reconstruction from 2006. He has had plenty of game time to build his confidence now, so he has no real excuses for below par efforts unless it is through Sheens' selections of how he is played in the team.

Although in saying all that, Lewis Brown is ready for 1st grade IMO and has been for at least since mid season where he continually played consistent damaging football.
