The game turned as soon as Evans thought he was a half and did that stupid pass to Matagi who has terrible ball control. Also that blind side move by Moses to Hoffman who I could deadset beat in an arm wrestle tortured us.

Norman is going to be my new scapegoat this year. He besides that try was shithouse. He is annoyingly inconsistent.

Mau I would have shown the door last year. Evans should be told to just run f**king hard and that's it. As always Brown was our best. Mannah and Alvaro are not only our best props but also our best defenders in the middle. Scott may be old but he still has something to offer. I thought French was solid but Gutherson should be our long-term fullback when fully fit. I thought Hayne was good. Probably should play him on the wing. At least he will get more ball.

Not a fan of this Hayne, French and Hoffman position swaps. Very strange stuff. Bring Hayne in as a second fullback when we are attacking on the left ala semi attacking on the right on rare moments.

Need to bring back Edwards, needed that energy off the bench. So flat without him.

Matagi should never have been there.
Terepo must replace him if fit. If not bring in Marata. We need his enthusiasm.
Im a Scott fan but he was poor today. Kenny to replace him.
Id prefer Smith on the bench for Taka as well.

Death riders in full force....lol.

The biggest issue was the bench. That changes next week and we're already better.

Alvaro 16 runs, 125m
Mannah 14 runs, 135m
Tepai 11 runs, 105m
Brown 18 runs, 145m

Scott, Matagi and Evans COMBINED 11 runs, 90m (I've not included Taka because he spent a good chunk of time in the halves.)
So you think they made so few runs because they were lazy, or scared? We had no ball while Matagi, Evans and Scott were on the field.

Bench killed us, and it’s obvious king can’t play 80 yet. Matagi was woeful beyond words, which was how he finished last year too.

Edwards for Matagi
Smith for Taka (Taka doesn’t deserve to lose his spot but we can’t carry him and smith on the bench and smith offers more at dummy half)

We lost all momentum when they were on. Matagi dropped his first hit up. Evan's dumb tip on to Matagi was a turning point. But the biggest problem was those 3 couldn't control the middle and Panthers went straight through us.

Edwards for Scott, Terepo for Matagi if fit. IMO.

Evans was the best benchy, 5 runs for 50m. Needs to get more involved though, even if it's just the Kikau level of 8 or 9 runs for 80m plus
Kikau did benefit from his team having all the ball while he was on.

I was worried when BA named Scott as captain. Will he have the balls to drop him? He looked unfit and offered f**k all in attack and defence. Edwards needs to take his place
I thought he looked good off the ball and made some crucial tackles. I have has a few and might have confused him with Tim a few times?

STFU Pou.

We had enough ball to wrestle back momentum if we were good enough, and the reason we had to wrestle back momentum was because the Panthers bench way outperformed ours. Very simple.

You don't have to argue every single point. It doesn't make you sound intelligent, in fact it's quite the opposite.

I think Evans has been brought in to provide offloads, although I don't recall the one you mentioned.

Anyway forum dunce aside, you know our forwards are criminally underrated to the point of stubbornly refusing to see their value when people are giving Mitch Moses three points in the 321s....FMD

That pass from Evans was so dumb. They went away from the game plan. Complete the sets FFS. So dumb.
