Liverpool fans stabbed in Naples

The old "there's racism everywhere else" bullsh*t when was the last time Stamford Bridge erupted into monkey chants?

Real Madrid have been crooks for over half a century.

How come UEFA don't step in when racism erupts in France (President's home country) or Italy (place where said President is a hero) but this is unacceptable

UEFA fails to look on bright side of Bayern fans' Pythonesque gag, bans `Romans Go Home' flag

NYON, SWITZERLAND — European soccer's governing body barred Bayern Munich fans from displaying a Monty Python-inspired banner at Wednesday night's Champions League match, fearing the sign might offend visiting fans from the Italian club AS Roma.
The Union of European Football Associations said the banner reading "Romani ite domum" — Latin for "Romans Go Home" — was considered provocative.
The slogan references a scene in the movie comedy Monty Python's "Life of Brian." UEFA did approve the German fans displaying a "Life of Bayern" flag at the Allianz Arena.
In a statement, UEFA said: "Anything that may cause offense to a fan base or ethnic group, and therefore pose a security risk, including banners or symbols, is carefully vetted."
Bayern won 2-0 on goals by Thomas Mueller and Miroslav Klose. The German club lost last season's final 2-0 to Inter Milan.

Shameful double standards. Will Serbia be charged with improper conduct the same way Rangers were after the UEFA Cup final a few years back?

We've had Dida struck with a flare, Anders Frisk hit with a missile, a police officier murdered from an explosive, racist fans, ultras and fascism, fans regularly getting violent in Rome from both sides and nothing is ever done.

exactly, italian football is very interesting. must be boring watching a game in germany, surrounded by women and children clapping every so often and generally being polite. what a bore

who can honestly say they've never wanted to stab a liverpool supporter?

well it's inarguably more interesting than an 8 minute youtube clip of women and children waving flags

just wondering how many men have been arrested for football-related violence in dortmund over the past 5 years anyway

You would prefer police to die and players to be racialy abused instead? Not surprising you're a Serie A fan really.

little bit hypocritical attacking fascism then defending Germany in the same sentence isn't it?

It's not hypocritical at all in 2010.

you sound like a big baby. as if you care about a few people getting hurt on the other side of the world. i care about good soccer, not a few trivial crowd incidents. inter beat bayern munich so you can piss off tbh

that's a pretty big compliment for serie a fans. is inter's excellence in the champions league helping you see the light?

Inter are doing fantastic thanks largely to their no Italians policy. It's a testament to the state of Italian football really.

can't help but feel that you're being very racist towards italians

Italy is a country, not a race. Hence you can't be racist againt Italins.

You can be prejudice against the stab happy racist pr*cks that attend football matches over there, but not racist. But then i've seen matches over there so its ok, as i'm offering an opinion based on personal experience.

Oh and Florence is not romantic, its a dump, and Venice smells due to the open sewer that runs through it. ;-)

Inter's no Italians policy is probably worse than Zenit St Petersburg's no blacks policy, just IMO. Inter really are scum.

call it what you wanna call it, but you can't deny that tonearm's vitriol against italians is just as (if not more) racist than the views these men in naples hold towards the english

Thats alright then.

In the return leg if a group get ambushed at the albert docks and get the sh*t kicked out of them should they also of known the risks?

Or would there be widespread knashing of teeth at the hooligan nature of English fans?

I remember the heroic Roma fans. Ambushed a few United fans then they were scared to come to Manc so the nice people of Manchester went to find them when the final was over there. Yup you guessed it, the chicken sh*ts all hid.

Italians = Softc*cks of Euro football.

That picture of the Juve fans turning their backs in Anfield during the minutes' silence makes me laugh to this day. They still want to carry a grudge over Heysel despite the actions of Italian fans (including Juve supporters) in the years since...
