Reports are saying if Locky doesn't wear a face mask he could risk going blind because the orbital bone, which keeps the eye in place, will still be exposed. I reckon the NRL should force him to wear it, it would be an awful look for the game if he does end up being blind in one eye.

And no doubt if he did end up going blind then all the rednecks north of the Tweed would be claiming it was all Manly's fault.

After the attitude dosed out on Morris by Hodges,Lockyer will no doubt be targeted heavily.

I'll be surprised if he lasts the first half being how blood-thursty some of those Manly players can be.

But there will be the humour factor if Lockyer does wear a mask.

Too bad Roy & H.G. don't call the Grand Final if Brisbane do make it to the big one.

hopefully he wont get protection from the ref too- he has to expect the whacks to the face if he is to play with such an injury
:iwstupid: Let's ignore the fact high shots to the head are illegal. The refs shouldn't penalise Manly if they whack Lockyer in the face...

not the ones that slide off the shoulder or ball and hit the head- give it to lockyer they should why treat him any differently - whack whack whack from some bone crunching hits that rattle his teeth and test his cheek.

It doesn't need to be illegal stuff to test Lockyer's injury. He won't want to have his head anywhere near the tackle, and will result in more arm grabbing from him. I have a feeling he won't play too long, Ben Hunt will probably replace him during the game.

You can pretty much be guaranteed that Manly will have someone like T-Rex running at Lockyer all night and no doubt Lockyer is going to make some pretty average attempts at tackling him. In attack, Lockyer will have no problems, he'll control the ball without having to be tackled too often but Manly will test his defense. A slight hesitation can mean the difference between a line break and a tackle.

Locky will be sick of seeing T-rex and Watmong on friday night.

In all honesty I think he is making the wrong decision, he could suffer some serious health consequences, all for a game of footy,

Let's be realistic here and put it into perspective, it is only a game of footy.

I don't know if I'd put the fate of my entire season squarely on Peter Wallace's shoulders either
