laffranchi is paying for his sins. he was ordinary against knights, and on friday. he has had a couple of opportunities to impress but couldn't come up when the pressure was on. he needs to learn to play away from white boot territory.

On Friday? Was that the game he got Man of the Match?

Whilst i don't necessarily agree, fact is Prince has pretty much been the form player of the comp. Lockyer on the other hand has barely shown anything this year because he is still recovering from an injury. I don't see why it's so implausible that Prince could of got picked in front of Lockyer. In fact the only reason Lockyers spot was safe is because rugby league has an obsession with picking incumbents.

It's got nothing to do with incumbency with Lockyer. The simple fact is that what little he has shown this season has outshone all other 5/8's and earns him the spot on form. Such is the lack of depth at pivot right now. What would be the point of picking a halfback to do the job of the best 5/8?
