Don't know who Prince has f**k to make the team. He's been the form HB for most of the comp. Guess Ricky just wants to allow the kiwis to make a game of it.
Disgracefull stuff not calling up Laffranchi.
One could be forgiven for think that is one scenario that could have happenedLaffranchi is 18th man, Bird was 5/8 in the last test so surely it is Bird to 5/8 with Laffranchi into the 17, he deserves it more than anyone else.
AUSTRALIA captain Darren Lockyer has been ruled out of Friday's Centenary Test against New Zealand with a knee injury.
The Brisbane five-eighth received the bad news after the Australian team medical in Sydney, but he admitted he knew early in Saturday night's NRL match against Wests Tigers that he was in serious strife.
The Broncos ace has struggled since making his return from a full knee reconstruction in round one, and after spending a few weeks on the sidelines last month he looks set for another extended period out of the game.
My knee hasn't pulled up too good from last night's game, in fact it was pretty ordinary right through (Saturday) night's game, Lockyer said.
The advice I'm getting from the medical staff here and the advice I'm getting from the Broncos back home was that we'll look to go and get a scope done on the knee so I'll again be out for an indefinite period.
Kangaroos coach Ricky Stuart confirmed Greg Bird would move from lock to five-eighth with Melbourne backrower Michael Crocker coming into the 17-man squad, though there was no decision yet on who would start in the No.13 jumper.
Stuart applauded Lockyer for making what he called a brave decision.
It is a massive blow but more importantly it's the best decision for Darren Lockyer, Stuart said. "It's a very early part of the season.
Prince to half, Thurston to 5/8.No he wants a 5/8 that performs in REP level situations, Bird does, Prince doesn't
Prince to half, Thurston to 5/8.
Moot point as the decisions been made anyway.
Kite is not the best prop at the moment but not many to pick from in front of him with Bailey, Price being injured. His last few weeks had been pretty good compared to the first few.
I'm busy, maybe Saturday? How about Thaiday!
Have a look at lockyno1s posts on LU..they aren't good reading.Have a look at Prince at REP level..it aint good reading!
Anyway, Prince should be playing five-eighth, not Bird but I can understand why sticky stuck with Bird
No he wants a 5/8 that performs in REP level situations, Bird does, Prince doesn't

Do yourself a favour, grab a DVD of the Anzac test in 1997 i think it was ,maybe 98, and watch Lockyers debut
On your theory he should never have played rep again
Bird in the halves is a JOKE. No other way to say it.
