London Broncos New Owners Finally Found?

Not really, it's quite common for a start-ups to hit the ground running - which is what the new owners are clearly treating the Broncos as. It's a way to gauge interest and to start compiling metrics regarding supporters etc.

That has logic and substance to it except they’re not a start-up and there is an existing database full of members and ticket purchasers that the Broncos as a club have.

They could well be setting it up as a new company, hence the need for new permissions to gather and store fans data.

Good interview with the owners.

Interesting that they're putting together a 'documentary' - clearly doubling down on the c grade Wrexham vibes (I think it's a great strategy to make). They're really saying all the right things, particularly when they state growing the club isn't just about on field success (There's the crack Grant makes about the previous owner's response to difficulty being 'buy another winger/second rower' instead of developing a sustainable and attractive product).

Yeh they seem pretty realistic that A) Its not a quick fix project and B) Its not just about putting a winning squad on the field. Have they got a CEO yet?

Good chat for sure. They seem intent on backing it up but we can say that about everyone who's ever been involved in the sport with big money.
Plough Lane looks like a winner so hopefully they stay there, their last Super League stint at Trailfinders looked very subpar.

Interesting Jame Graham got them on the 'loan' scheme - same as what the Auckland A-League side are doing through their ownership network. They didn't deny it at all heh

Interesting in theory but I doubt London Broncos finances will be anywhere near comfortable enough for them to take on underperforming Brisbane Broncos contracts as a sneaky favour.

I don't believe they've announced a CEO yet - though I found it interesting that they were heavily spruiking Paul White's involvement in that podcast. Clearly someone has been leading the negotiations to secure the new sponsors, jersey suppliers etc.

My take on the Brisbane Broncos discussion is that I think they were being pretty straightforward in stating there's currently nothing there. The only connections at this point are a) the name b) Lockyer's continued role on the Brisbane board c) the relationships Paul White has.

Given the signings they have made so far (and the supposed signings they had ready to go if they had been given the greenlight for Super League in 2026) I think their main concern will be building the off-field infrastructure. Demetriou already has the makings of a squad that should wipe the field in Championship and even make a dent in the Challenge Cup.
