Looks like we're last tonight.....

This sugarcoating our dead last position is starting to make me nauseas.

This. A glass half full post won't work with me on this one. First spoon in 45 years. The board, the players and the coach should hang their heads in shame.

I just wish we were still a chance of avoiding it. Sux that with 2 games to go we are not even a mathematical chance of avoiding the spoon.

I dont want to go about our situation but i have been saying to my mates that Michael Hagan set our club back 5 years, i am hoping the curse is over and we pick up next year...

I have not publically blamed any players this year but i believe Hayne has cost us the last 2 games defensively...

The only way we make sure we don't get the spoon is to win both remaining games.

Not looking good, is it?

Only good thng for me out of this weekend is that the Dragqueens have fallen to seventh , with a bit of luck over the next two weeks will drop out of the 8 altogether

One thing in our favour against the Rooster next week is that they have already cleared out of the spoon danger zone... Yes, they are in good form with two wins from two, but maybe they'll just fall off a bit against us, knowing that it doesn't matter if they lose now?

I can't see the Titans getting up over Wests, so we've got two good shots to get off the bottom, if the ciach and players want it enough.

Even if we escape the spoon by a point, it's still a shocking result for the season and all the excuses in the world shouldn't deflect the need for the club to seriously step up a gear for the whole of next season.... if Kearney can't make the finals in 2012 his contract simply shouldn't be renewed imo.

The Dragons are a prefect example that you need to be mentally prepared to mix it and compete for 80 mins. They are not at the moment and neither are we.

No-one here wants any of them to fail. Not one person that I can think of.

Ooh I can think of a couple. ;-)

Sure, some people feel that they are failing or might fail, but no-one wants that to happen. I note that you couldn't name one forummer that holds the view that you implied that some did....

I could name them. But then you'd only deny it.

Probably best we all pretend you're excited about our future success under Kearney, Ossie and the board.

At the moment I'm basing it on his NRL coaching record. 5 wins from 22 matches doesn't suggest a great capability at this stage in his career.

For a coach in his first season it doesn't suggest anything at all. A coach who has coached only 22 matches has coached less than a full season - he likely hasn't even had the benefit of a single transfer season to build his squad.

It's easy to say that with the ideal playing roster, and luck with injuries that his achievements might match your perception of his ability. But you could make that excuse for absolutely any coach anywhere whose record is poor

And I would.

No coach deserves to be judged on their first season's results. No matter how good or bad they are. Because the results of a single season don't reflect even a fraction of what club coaching entails.

Hmm. Do you see the irony in whinging about and pointing the finger at people who you think less of for whinging and pointing the finger?

Yes I do. I'll probably have to live with those demons forever bart, but I seem to be coping just fine at the moment.

This week will be a good week for us loyal supporters to sink the slipper into the club. That way, if the bastards win, and deny me the pleasure of having 6 months to moan about the spoon and the useless merkins who delivered it, I will have had a good weeks worth of pretending they got the spoon.

Can I get on board with that?

I heard Kearney's already calling Sandow 'Black Cooper Cronk' and Hayne 'Black Billy Slater'.

He's just trying to turn us into the (Black) Melbourne Storm. I reckon he's planning on playing Ben Roberts (Black Cameron Smith) at hooker.

f**k Black Craig Bellamy! And f**k his big stupid face.

Canberra have tough games against Penrith (at home) and St George Illawarra (away), while the Titans face a virtual mission impossible against the Tigers next week before taking on the Eels.

lol, Dragons face Penrith last round. Good work David Beniuk!
