As much as I like 'Lost', I do think it is a frustrating show to watch simply because nothing throughout the entire series has ever been answered in any episode. Even when I saw the ads for the season finale, I thought to myself "I bet it doesn't answer much at all". I was right.

Abrahms does two things with all his shows

- What you described
- An obessession with numbers

His other major show is Alias. Alias always has lots of unanswered questions - I won't spoil Season 4 for anyone, but there's a tonne of unanswered quesions left.

Alias also has an obessession with numbers with certain numbers always appearing.

Walt had to leave the show. Each series is going to be 40 days on the island, so Walt will be aging about a month a season. But the actor will be aging about a year a season.

Like I said, I haven't read anything about the show that even remotely pointed me in that direction. I didn't realise it was a wide-spread rumour!

What about that pirate ship in the middle of the island and the fact the 'others' look like pirates, not to mention the astonishing fact that the 'others' have a motorboat with enough fuel to go searching the pacific ocean in the middle of the night for a raft.


if they have a motor boat and plenty of fuel why didnt they leave the island 16 years ago?

i dont believe that whole, they're dead and trying to atone for their sins theory. i think the writers will just go with destiny/fate as the reason all these people ended up there nuclear testing and shipwrecks should explain everything else

the fuel thing sorta puts an end to my thoughts of them being the others - makes more sense that they got rid of the kid because of the ageing thing.

the writers are already playing on the fate thing - Locke believes it is fate because he can walk now and he made comments when blowing up the hatch.

I think it starts back on US TV on 25th of Sep., I downloaded all season one episodes and I'll do the same with season 2. Channel seven seem obsessed with giving away far too much in the commercials, IMO they spoiled a few episodes days before they went to air.
