I'll wait until it's confirmed.

The only source is literally, some blogger who "thought" he heard Ian Wright say something on a talkback show.

Hardly a credible source.

Its official now, Rosicky out for 6 weeks with a hamstring injury

Wenger - Rosicky's problem is 'not major'

By Richard Clarke Tomas Rosicky has suffered an injury setback but, according to Arsène Wenger, it is “not a major problem”.

This morning’s media suggested the Czech midfielder had hurt his hamstring and would be out for six weeks.

That will be deeply disappointing news for every Arsenal fan given Rosicky has played in three pre-season friendlies this term. His first games since damaging his hamstring tendon in January 2008.

At his press conference at Great Ormond Street Hospital on Thursday afternoon, Wenger admitted: “It is worrying.

“He was so sharp that it is difficult to accept that he has had a muscle injury.

“But it is not a major problem. You get that type of injury after you have been out for 18 months.”

It's better than the eight weeks that has been flying around..?

Frustrating, but as AW said, it happens when you've been out for nearly two years - His body wouldn't yet be adapted to playing football. Tbh it's better that it's occurred now rather than in December/January.

Celtic

We're through already.

Oh and not at all confident about winning. This is disastrous for us - still, arrogant tools who think you're already through

You're playing a team who've beaten Manchester United and AC Milan in previous seasons. A team that were a missed Maldini handball in the box from beating them in the knockout stages the year they won the whole thing.

A team that finally broke their away game hoodoo a week ago.

But yeah, you're already through.

Not an easy draw by any means, i read somewhere that Celtic have only been beaten by an English team 3 times in 14 games, That's pretty good. but should be a cracker of a game, hopefully the boys can get through, take a draw in the away tie

2-0 loss to Valencia this morning, don't mind the loss as it is a good preparation for the new season

If Wenger doesnt sign some more players before the deadline this is the last season Im giving him to win some silverware. We sell $40 million worth of players and sign one player for 12 million, all the while not addressing the biggest convern in a holding midfelder. Does Wenger really think we can challenge playing Song or Denilson in the midfield?

Arshavins highlights in the few months he has been with us, i can not wait to see him have a full yr and see what he can do. Imo, he has the potential to be the best player in the league, big call but the guy is a machine.

Arshavin is simply awesome. One of the top 5 attacking talents in the world game, IMO.

He will have a huge seaosn for Arsenal and must be good odds to win the Player of the Season Award.

And to thinkk some fools doubted his ability to adapt to the EPL. Some people just dont have an eye for genuine footballing genius.

He looks alright, but he hasn't done all that much since he came over. The 4 goals in Anfield were good, but they were his only four touches of the game. Other than that, its nothing stand out. As he came in, Fabregas came back from Injury to help lift the Arsenal team. Also Villa fell away making last seasonlook more comfortable than it really was.

Next season he is going to have to get involved in games more, as you have lost a few good players and not replaced them. Then we'll see if he is one of the best.

Top 5 in the world? I'd say he was third best (Fabregas and Van Persie are better) at Arsenal, never mind the world.

I totally agree with you, Arshavin is a good player and played well last season but a few games here and there he will have a quiet one, his four goals at Anfield i remember at least 3 of them were mistakes by the liverpool players but never the less scoring 4 is a outstanding effort but hopefully he can show what he can do the season that is coming up, we need him, Fabregas and Van Persie all fit to have any chance at the title

I think the more pressing question is whether Tommy is capable of discussing Arshavin without blowing his load?
