A lot of average performances, no standouts for me. But 65 minutes of decent football. Still holding a glimmer of hope for 2019.

1. DWZ - 5 - sound game overall for a winger trying to play FB. Costly penalty while in possession (and not the 1st time he's done it).
2. Mansour - 4 - some good hitups but not a NRL winger these days.
3. Whare - 4 - little impact before being burned by Xerri and injuring his hamstring.
4. Blake - 6 - good game, tried hard throughout and rewarded with a try.
20. MWZ - 5 - very good game but costly penalty try.
6. Maloney - 5 - good first half but poor kicking game in 2nd half and still missing too many tackles.
7. Cleary - 7 - not much more he could have done.
13. JFH - 8 - just a machine. He's leading our forwards. We had to move Mez to keep him but right call at this stage.
12. Yeo - 5 - played well until moving to centre.
11. Kikau - 5 - very good first half but went missing in the 2nd.
10. Grant - 6 - got a try and a good solid game but looking for more from him next week.
9. Egan - 7 - not sure what else he could have done. Some work to do in defence but looks fit and his service throughout was very good.
8. Tamou - 6 - not as noticeable as previous weeks but did his job.
14. Katoa - 3 - imposter.
16. Leota - 5 - played his role. Solid defensively and took some tough hitups.
17. RCG - 4 - started with more intent than last week but seems to struggle to put the opposition on the ground. Liability in the final 20. Should be in NSW Cup next week (assuming Sele is back).
19. Martin - 6 - very good game. Ran hard, hit hard, offloads. Retains his place next week.

Tim grant was great tonight egan had a awesome 1st half and liam martin was terrific off the bench.Fisher harris has been tremendous so to kikau although i think kikau needed a spell he was buggered towards the end and let maloney down in defence.Same guys are letting us down week in week out.Mansour needs a stint in reserves hes not 100% with his shoulder and we cant carry passengers.

A step in the right direction toward the team we need and style of play we need. But Mansour is still very bad at basic winger duties. Whare is still nothing more than a defender and hooker seems to be an average at best situation.

Jimmy still can't tackle. But he looked a lot better in attack. DWZ has a brain snap which ultimately cost us momentum. Although that's overreaction to his brother being hit. Jersey # wasnt relevant to it.

Katoa comes on and provably cost us more momentum as a whole than any single players moments did. One moment can hurt. But a team should not shit itself from them.

Unfortunately our depth is not good enough to fix most of our problems. Biggest being our cap being tied up in guys destroyed by injuries. Edwards. Mansour. Whare. RCG. Mckendry. 5 big name players on big deals who are not half the players we signed them to be.

Guys like Cleary. Tamou. JFH etc. Are on overs too which isn't ideal. But atleast these guys are trying their best and showing promising signs.

Spot on there mxlegend99 mansour needs a spell katoa should be playing canterbury cup and peanut rcg should be dropped as well.I think cleary will go with fuimaono in the centres as we dont have much options there and sele will probably take katoas spot.I was happy with the team before the game was happy at halftime although i think we needed to be in front at least 20-0.We are improving week to week just need to stop the brain snaps and stupid penalties and we will get on a roll still early. We made the semis last yr or the yr before being 2 and 7 in our first 9 games so 2 and 4 not that bad.Id go with this team against souths zelezniak too fuimaono blake zelezniak maloney cleary fisher harris yeo kikau tamou egan grant =sele martin leota hetherington

Blake 7
MWZ 6
Maloney 5 - 8 for an awesome first half, 2 for an abysmal second.
Cleary 7 - Getting better every week.
Tamou 6
Egan 7 - Not sure he's up to a full 80 though.
Grant 6
Kikau 6 - Not currently up to playing 80 sadly.
Yeo 6
JFH 7

Katoa 5 - Just not there at the moment. Looks unfit even in comparison to the rest
Leota 6
RCG 4 - Head is clearly not right. Needs to find his passion for the game at a lower level.
Martin 6 - Would have been higher if he had more time. Ran hard, tackled hard. No bullshit. Our team desperately needs more of this.

DWZ 5. His brain snap and allowing Xerri to get on his outside after showing him the sideline cost him a better rating.
MWZ 5. Solid and can’t blame him for the penalty try.
Whare 4. We need more in his position if we want to be a serious contender.
Blake 6. If only we could create the sort of space for him as the Sharks did for Xerri.
Mansour 4. Sadly it’s looking like his better days are over.
Maloney 6. Did some greats things but he is so slow and we need to move on from James. He will still go alright in the ESL.
Clearly 6. Nathan did what Nathan does. Ain’t ever go to be a Brandy or Gowie.
JFH 8. Our best again.
Yeo 5. Would be a superstar playing for one of the better sides.
Kikau 5. Should be playing 55-65 minutes. His immense talent is being wasted by playing him for the full 80.
Grant 5. Tried hard as he always does.
Egan 6. Reasonable game.
Tamou 6. Solid but not at the level of someone who we could do with in the likes of Andrew Fafita.

Katoa 5. Made a mistake in our own half coughing up possession but not as bad as some would make out.
Leota 5. Moses needs more minutes but seems to get gassed very quickly. Hasn’t quite come on the way we would have hoped.
Martin 5. The potential is there for all to see.
RCG 5. Plenty of tackles in his minutes, mostly effective but hitting the ball up which he is paid the big bucks to do there is no value for money I’m afraid.
