No Way Out kicks off with typical pay-per-view fanfare, and immediately fans both at home and at the arena are treated to extended video highlights focussed on the Orton/Hardy feud, as well as on the big match up between Theodore Long and Eric Bischoff to decide who will control Smackdown.

The first entrance of the night, however, is reserved for Cruiserweight champion Gregory Helms, who struts out with the gold over his shoulder for what should be a trying title defence - taking on four other men in a ladder match! The first challenger out is new face, Austin Aries, who gets a modest reception. Nunzio's own entrance draws some heel heat, whilst Kid Kash gets a decent amount to his name. Juventud's arrival draws the biggest pop, the former champion riding out to the ring on a Juan Deere.

MATCH ONE - Gregory Helms (c) vs. Nunzio vs. Kid Kash vs. Austin Aries vs. Juventud for the Cruiserweight Title (Ladder Match)
The match gets underway with the bell, and almost immediately all four challengers attack the champion - bearing him to the ground with punches and kicks. Helms is tossed to the outside by all four men, who momentarily share a display of celebratory back-slapping before Nunzio and Kid Kash spoil the moment by attacking the babyfaces. Whilst Kash enjoys success against the green Austin Aries - Nunzio bites off more than he can chew and is sent to join Helms outside by a dropsault from Juvi. Meanwhile Austin Aries is treated to a series of stiff chops and kicks from Kid Kash, who backs him into the corner before ascending for what we assume is a ten punch. Aries shows some ingenuity by turning it into a brutal running powerbomb that gets a solid reception from the crowd. Juventud has gone to the top, however, and flies with a missile dropkick that catches Aries as he turns around.

Outside the ring Nunzio and Helms are brawling around the announcer's table, Tazz and Michael Cole having to move when Nunzio unsuccessfully attempts to suplex Helms through their table. Helms blocks the move before lifting Nunzio up and dropping him face first onto the floor. He takes a moment to mock the crowd and, as he does this, Juventud catches him in the back with a baseball slide. This time Helms does taste announce table, crashing face first into the front of it as he stumbles. Juvi makes the first attempt to grab a ladder, but Austin Aries baseball slides the ladder as Juvi tries to heft it into the ring, sending it into the Juice's face! Aries is spun around by a recently returned Kash, who tries to set him up for his Dead Level, but Aries twice manages to stay on his feet before elbowing Kash in the midsection and hitting a fisherman's suplex. Aries is certainly showing tenacity, and he goes outside to drag the ladder into the ring. Helms, Nunzio, and Juvi are all down on the outside, and it's Nunzio who attacks Aries as he attempts to grab the ladder, latching onto his back comically. Aries shows tremendous strength to carry Nunzio on his back as he climbs to the apron, snap-maring him into the ring. Nunzio hits back with a quick guillotine, and now Aries is crashing to the mat. Kash attempts to attack Nunzio from behind as well, but the fiery Italian thumbs Kash's eye and locks him in a painful looking abdominal stretch! Of course, there's no submissions in this one, so Kash is in a world of pain with no escape.

Outside the ring the three other competitors have returned to brawling, with Juvi and Helms re-igniting their long standing feud with a rather brutal exchange. Helms whips Juvi at the security barrier, but the Juice shows his balance by leaping to the top, pausing a moment, and then attempting a springboard moonsault. Helms is able to catch Juventud and turn it into a brutal reverse DDT that draws a 'Holy sh*t' chant from the crowd. Back inside the ring Nunzio has the ladder set up, but Austin Aries is on hand to attack the former champion from behind as he scampers up the ladder, clubbing him across the back. This time Kid Kash is able to get his revenge on Aries - a Russian Leg Sweep smashing Aries' face into the bottom rung of the ladder! Kash begins to ascend the ladder, but Helms is wise to his plan and slides into the ring. The two men begin to climb the ladder together, and Nunzio and Juvi rush in to prevent a potentially match ending situation. Both men climb up beneath Kash and Helms (respectively) and we get... DOUBLE ELECTRIC CHAIR DROPS! Nunzio and Juvi just electric chair dropped Helms and Kash from the middle of the ladder!

All five men are lying down, exhausted, and it's Aries who staggers to his feet - his face a mask of crimson after his encounter with the ladder. He looks around, sees all four men down, and looks up at the gold. It's his chance! He begins to slowly climb, the loss of blood clearly effecting his balance, but he's only three quarters of the way up when Nunzio gets to his feet. Aries looks up at the gold and then down at Nunzio. Up then down. What's he thinking? CORKSCREW SENTON! Aries just sacrificed his chance at the gold to pull of an insane corkscrew senton from the top! Nunzio is crushed! The fans are chanting as all five men lie motionless on the ground.

Juvi is to his feet now, but he's got to contend with Kid Kash and Helms as they've also recovered. He begins slugging Helms and then turns to Kash, beating on both men with right hands before sending Kash to the mat with a dropkick. Helms whips Juventud, who ducks an attempted clothesline and hits a hurricanrana. Helms tumbles to the mat and then skids out of the ring. Now it's Juvi's chance to ascend the ladder, with Aries and Nunzio still down after their earlier confrontation. Juventud is climbing with more speed, but Kash is to his feet. He can't stop Juvi, can he? No! But he can push the ladder! Juventud and the ladder tip, and the Juice goes all the way to the outside! He collides with the security barrier and goes to ground! Meanwhile Kash attempts to reset the ladder, but Nunzio and Aries are both to their feet. Rather than fighting them off, Kash uses the ladder to attempt a clothesline on both men, but they duck! They grab an end of the ladder each and put their weight onto it, sending Kash backwards and crushing him between the ladder and the ropes! He is squeezed out between the middle rope, and now Nunzio and Aries are having a tug of war! This lasts a second or two before Aries pushes rather than pulling, catching Nunzio under the jaw and knocking the Italian to the mat!

He's setting up the ladder, but the numbers are again against him, as Helms begins to crawl back into the ring. The referee is all over the place, attempting to check on every competitor, and this allows Helms to crack Aries across the back with his Cruiserweight Title. Aries drops as if he's been shot, and Helms begins to climb. At the top he pauses to mock the crowd, and this proves 'fatal', Juvi scampering up the other side and slugging him. Helms teeters and tumbles. Juventud has the gold in his sights, but he's going for the kill.... LEG DROP! He hits a leg drop from the top of the ladder, almost decapitating Helms! Kid Kash is now attempting to climb the ladder, but Nunzio manages to halt him. They're locked up.... SUPERPLEX! Now it's Kash and Nunzio crashing to the mat! Again all five men are down. The fans are exhausted and so are the workers. All five begin to get to their feet at once, sluggishly throwing punches as they head towards the ladder. Nunzio begins to climb, but Kash scampers up onto his shoulders and tries to get ahead that way. Aries, however, attempts to electric chair drop Nunzio instead. What happens is a three storey drop - with Kash atop Nunzio as all three men plummet to the mat! Now it's just Juvi and Helms. They're fighting their way to the top, throwing punches as they go. Both men are teetering as Aries (who suffered the least of the impact from the fall) gets a running start and shoulders the ladder. Both men leap.... and CATCH THE TITLE! They're hanging together without anything but a twenty foot fall to the ring beneath them! They're fighting as they swing above the ring, the fans chanting for Juvi to win. They're going to fall, but can somebody bring the title down with them?

They....teeter...and....

....

Juvi falls! Juventud got caught with a vicious right hand from Helms and he falls! Helms is still hanging on! He's just got to unclip the gold. Aries, Kash, and Nunzio watch on in despair as he unclips the belt and drops to the mat. He is quick to roll out of the ring too, not sticking around for any kind of reprisal.
WINNER AND STILL CHAMPION: Gregory Helms

The boos start as Monty Brown's theme music hits and the self proclaimed 'Alpha Male' struts out to the ring pausing to sniff the camera and wipe his brow on the ring ropes as has become his trademark. The boos quickly turn to cheers as the Animal, Batista comes out to his own music. The battle of beasts is about to take place!

MATCH TWO - Batista vs. Monty Brown
There's a 'let's got Batista' chant from the start here, and the first minute or so is simply the two big men circling one another with Brown occasionally yelling to the crowd to shut up. They eventually tie up and right away Batista gets in control, kneeing Brown in the midsection before whipping him. Brown ducks the attempted clothesline and comes back with a flying shoulder, knocking Batista to the ground. Brown stands over him and roars at the rafters before reaching down to drag him to his feet. Batista drives an elbow into the midsection to double Brown over, then comes off the ropes with a running knee lift Triple H style. Brown staggers around holding his jaw,s tumbling straight into a running right arm clothesline from the former champion. Batista covers, but Brown gets his shoulder up after just one. Batista stamps on Brown, who smartly rolls to the outside to recover. He moves around to where Michael Cole, Tazz, and Mick Foley are on commentary. Batista comes out after him, grabbing Brown and preparing to drag him into the ring, but Brown bounces Batista's face off the announce table! He then gets a running kick to the side of Batista's head, sending the bigger man to the floor!

Batista is momentarily stunned, allowing Brown to drag him to his feet and whip him into the ring post! As Batista staggers backwards, Brown picks him up with a back suplex on the mat! Brown is in complete control of the Animal here! The referee's count has reached eight but Brown halts it by rolling into the ring and then back out again. He continues to work on Batista, twisting his arm around the ringpost and applying pressure in an attempt to yank it out of its socket. The fans are booing as the count again reaches eight and Brown again rolls into the ring. This time however, Batista meets him with a clubbing blow as he returns. Batista immediately flinches at the pain in his arm though, and Monty is able to get right back on the offensive with a kick to the stomach. This time he tosses Batista into the ring under the bottom rope. A whip sends Batista into the ropes and this time it's a hard release overhead belly to belly! Batista was just thrown like a rag doll! Brown covers! 1-2-NO! Batista finds the strength to kick out! Brown can't believe it! He gets in the referee's face, shoving Charles Robinson in rage. Robinson shoves back and predictably, Batista is on hand to catch Brown with a spinebuster! The fans go nuts as Batista shakes the ropes in preparation for what can only be the Batista Bomb! He moves over to the felled Brown and prepares to pick him up, but Brown buries his forearm in between Batista's legs! A blatant low blow! The referee calls for the bell! Batista wins it by DQ!
WINNER: Batista by DQ

Monty Brown doesn't seem phased by the outcome however. He whips Batista into the ropes and then greets him with a big Pounce! Batista is slammed into the corner! Monty Brown seems to be satisfied, spitting on the grounded Batista before heading back up the ramp to a chorus of boos from the crowd.

As Batista is helped back up the ramp to the cheers of the audience, we cut backstage to where the Nation of Domination are standing together. Booker T and Samoa Joe are about to go up against one another in the United States title four way.
Booker: You know the plan?
Joe: I know the plan
Booker: Tell me you know the plan!
Joe: I know the plan!
Faarooq: Guys, you're going to do the Nation proud. Now get out there!

The two Nation of Domination members are out first, Joe and Booker T eying one another warily as they slide into the ring and await the arrival of the two babyfaces. The Rabid Wolverine Chris Benoit is out first, the former World Champion getting a good ovation as he makes a no frills entrance. Samoa Joe and Booker T smartly exit the ring when Benoit enters.

Finally it's time for the arrival of Lashley, who gets a remarkably big pop as he comes out looking pumped and ready to kick some ass. He's got a big axe to grind with the Nation of Domination.

MATCH THREE - Booker T (c) vs. Samoa Joe vs. Chris Benoit vs. Lashley
All four men stand in their corners and eye one another off, with Benoit motioning to Lashley and then to the Nation of Domination. Samoa Joe and Booker T are standing together, obviously intent on playing a numbers game. Lashley nods almost imperceptably to Benoit, and the two rush in! There's a full scale brawl here! Benoit's going right after Samoa Joe whilst Lashley sends Booker T out of the ring with a big clothesline. Meanwhile Benoit has his arms wrapped around Samoa Joe's waist and is looking to hit the first of his German Suplexes, but Joe blocks it and drives a stiff elbow into the side of Benoit's head. Benoit staggers to the ropes, where Booker T is on hand to drag him to the outside.

Lashley and Samoa Joe are facing off in the centre of the ring as Booker T whips Benoit hard into the security barrier. There's a moment of tension before Lashley comes off the ropes and tries to intimidate Joe with a big shoulder. Lashley bounces back off Joe and the two stare one another down again. Lashley tries again and again he's thwarted by Joe's size. He tries a third time but walks right into a big boot from Joe! Samoa Joe has just levelled Lashley! He immediately tries to lock in the Coquina Clutch, but Chris Benoit scrambles into the ring and drops an elbow onto Joe. Obviously he realises that he won't be able to survive a two on one Nation assault! With Samoa Joe already on the ground, Benoit grabs an arm and tries to extend it for the Crossface! The fans go crazy as he sinches it in, but Booker T is on hand to stomp on Benoit. The two Nation members are to their feet and they whip Benoit, catching him with a double vertical suplex. Samoa Joe tries to cover but Booker T drags him off and covers himself. 1-2-kickout! Benoit isn't beaten so easily! Booker T gets to his feet and signals for Samoa Joe to help him with something, but Samoa Joe stiff chops Booker T across the chest! The fans cheer like crazy as Samoa Joe whips Booker T and hits a devestating spinebuster! Has Samoa Joe forsaken the Nation of Domination!? He hasn't got time to attempt a cover on Booker though, Lashley gets to his feet and spins Samoa Joe around. DOMINATOR! Samoa Joe just got buried! Cover! 1-2-3! Lashley just eliminated Samoa Joe!

The Samoan Submission Machine looks furious as he realises he's been eliminated. He rolls to the outside and returns with a chair, treating Lashley to a liberal beating with it. Chris Benoit takes a brutal shot to the head before Samoa Joe casts the chair aside. He drags Booker T's limp body to the centre of the ring and drapes his arms over the felled Lashley and Benoit! Joe and the Nation had a plan! They had a plan! The referee counts it...1....2....DOUBLE KICKOUT! Both men kicked out! Samoa Joe can't believe it, he was already halfway up the ramp grinning with cocky confidence! Booker T, who has regained his senses, realises he's in a whole world of trouble as Lashley and Benoit begin to get grogilly to their feet. He rushes across and clubs Lashley across the back, but Benoit is behind him. GERMAN! GERMAN #2! German #3! Benoit just treated the US champion to three consecutive German suplexes! Here it comes.... DOMINATOR! Lashley just hit his finisher too, and now Benoit's on the top rope! Benoit flies... NO! LASHLEY CAUGHT HIM! Lashley catches Benoit on his shoulders. F-5! He just hit the F-5 on Chris Benoit! Lashley covers! 1-2-3! Benoit's been eliminated by Lashley. They were on the same page, but Lashley's in business for himself it seems! It's down to just Booker T and Lashley here, and Booker is without his Nation allies for the time being!

Benoit is furious as he rolls to the outside, but he doesn't get involved in the outcome of the match. Booker T is staggering to his feet as Lashley signals for what will be his third Dominator of the match. He hefts Booker up.... Booker slides down Lashley's back! He comes off the ropes with a flying cross-body that sends Lashley through the middle rope and to the outside. Lashley is straight to his feet and right back into the ring. Booker T attempts to swing a punch but Lashley catches his fist and twists his arm painfully behind his back. Booker T is pleading like a girl! Lashley doesn't look to be in the merciful mood as he lifts Booker up military press style. He tosses Booker to the mat, and Booker T rolls outside. He's lying down near the apron as Lashley gets out of the ring to press his advantage. Booker T swings at Lashley as he attempts to wrestle him to his feet, and Lashley drops like a sack of potatoes! Booker hit him with a set of brass knuckles! Booker T rolls Lashley into the ring. 1....2....3! Booker T retains with a big assist from Samoa Joe and a set of brass knuckles!
WINNER and STILL UNITED STATES CHAMPION: Booker T

The next match scheduled is the interpromotional match between Raw (represented by Kane and Muhammad Hassan) up against Rey Mysterio and his mystery partner. Hassan is first out, getting heavy boos as he and Daivari pose for the crowd. Kane's own entrance hushes the fans some, as the Big Red Machine makes his way out to the ring.

Booyah! Booyah! 6-1-9! Rey Mysterio leaps out into the arena to the roars of the crowd, but who will his partner be?

MIIIIIIISTER KENNEDY!....................KENNEDY!

The much hated Ken Kennedy struts out, but the Smackdown fans give him a cheer as he slaps Rey on the back and the two sprint down to the ring!

MATCH FOUR - Team Raw (Kane & Muhammad Hassan) vs. Team Smackdown (Rey Mysterio & Ken Kennedy)
Hassan is quick to bail out of the ring as Kennedy and Rey slide in, but Kane doesn't seem phased - meeting Kennedy's charge with a stiff uppercut then sends him straight to the mat. Rey Mysterio comes off the ropes with an attempted crossbody, but Kane picks him up and press slams him to the outside. Kane doesn't look like he's here to play games! The referee calls for the bell and it's Kane and Ken Kennedy who will start off as the legal men.

Kennedy staggers to his feet to meet Kane's fist with his face, stumbling back into the corner. Kane winds up for a running splash, but Kennedy gets a foot up and then comes off the corner with an uncharacteristic tornado DDT! The fans cheer as he roars at the roof before laying some boots into the fallen giant. Outside the ring Daivari is directing traffic as Muhammad chokes Rey with some cable. The fans are baying for blood and this draws Kennedy's attention. Showing uncharacteristic compassion, Kennedy slides out with a baseball slide that sends Hassan crashing into the mat. He helps Rey up but when he goes to re-enter the ring, Kane is ready and drags him over the top rope. Kennedy's again dragged to his feet and Kane slaps a hand over his throat for the chokeslam, but Rey Mysterio hits him from behind with a dropkick to break the hold. A kick to the gut from Kennedy is followed by a double-team suplex from the two smaller men. Kennedy pats Rey on the back again. Has he turned over a new leaf?

He makes the tag to Rey and goes out to wait whilst Rey meets a kneeling Kane with a running dropkick to the face. He follows this up with a second before coming off the ropes with a springboard moonsault. Cover, but Kane gets a shoulder up. Rey can't believe it! He comes off the ropes to attempt something, but Kane catches him with a big boot! Kane staggers to his corner and tags in Hassan, who is quick to leap on the fallen Mysterio with another blatant choke. Kane's keeping the referee distracted, so Kennedy comes in and drives a boot into the side of Hassan's head to end the punishment. The referee's returned and while he's getting Kennedy out of the ring, Hassan whips Mysterio into his corner where Kane grabs hold of his arms - allowing Hassan to punch Mysterio in the ribs. Daivari even gets involved with a slap to the back of the head. Kennedy's objecting throughout this but the referee remains focussed on him.

Hassan whips Mysterio hard into the opposite turnbuckle, causing Mysterio to slam into the ground where he rushes across to attempt a pinfall. Mysterio finds the strength and determination to kick out at two. Hassan makes the tag back to Kane, who goes straight to work with a series of brutal blows to Mysterio's midsection. He whips Mysterio... SIDEWALK SLAM! Cover but again Kennedy is in to break it up! Ken Kennedy has been a star for Smackdown here! Hassan rushes in to make the save, but Kennedy hits him with a big uranage! Daivari is up on the apron as well and catches Kennedy with a guillotine as he goes across to remove him. Meanwhile Mysterio has battled back with kicks to Kane's legs as he tries to avoid the much bigger man. It's not working in his favour for long as Kane corners him and cows him with some big chops. Another whip and a big boot allows Kane to tag out to Hassan, who stomps on Mysterio before driving an elbow into Kennedy to send him back to the floor. Hassan hits a reverse DDT and then attempts to lock in the Camel Clutch. He's got it locked in! Mysterio's been taking a beating and he's in a world of trouble here! Kennedy attempts to slide into the ring but Daivari's got a hold of his leg! Kennedy drops Daivari with a stinging punch to the side of the head! In the ring Mysterio's managed to reach the ropes and Hassan has to break the hold. As he attempts to drag Rey to his feet however, Rey drop-toe holds him to the ropes! He's set up for the 619! Kane's gone to the top rope for his famous flying punch, but what's this!? Kennedy's in the ring. He catches Kane with an uppercut! LAMBEAU LEAP! He just crushed Kane's spine against the mat! Rey comes off the ropes.... 619 to Hassan! Here it comes... DROPPIN' THE DIME!

Team Smackdown score a victory against the odds here! Kane can't believe it as Kennedy and Mysterio make a rushed exit, backslapping and cheering all the way. What has brought on Kennedy's change of heart!?

There's anticipation in the air as the ring is prepared for the tag title unification bout. First out are the underdog team of Paul London & Brian Kendrick, who have been getting increasingly popular of late due to their daredevil antics. The ever popular Mexicools are out next, riding Juan Deere's to the cheers of the big crowd.

Raw's TNT strut out next with their 'half' of the title equation slung over their shoulders, with Smackdown's MNM coming out last with Melina at their side.

MATCH FIVE - MNM (c) vs. The Mexicools vs. TNT (c) vs. London & Kendrick
The first two teams squaring off here will be Super Crazy of the Mexicools and Brian Kendrick. The two smallest competitors in the match go at it hell for leather right off the bat, tying up and embarking on a series of arm-drags and counters that get the crowd pumped. After a minute or so of this they end in a stand-off that draws a round of applause from the crowd. Super Crazy and Kendrick charge the ropes and crash mid air with twin crossbodies. Kendrick kips up and then quikcly ducks a spinning heel kick from Crazy. Showing opportunistic speed, Kendrick rolls up Crazy. 1-2-Kickout! Kendrick makes the tag out to Paul London - who vaults into the ring and hits Super Crazy with a dropsault. He comes off the ropes for a seated dropkick but Trevor Murdoch makes the blind tag - making himself the legal man.

Murdoch draws instant heel heat as he begins to stamp on the fallen Super Crazy, the biggest man in the match then hitting a spinning neckbreaker before tagging out to Lance Cade. Cade and Murdoch hit a double vertical suplex on Super Crazy before Cade covers. Psicosis comes off the top rope with a legdrop to break the pin - which brings in Nitro. One superkick later, Psicosis is tumbling back over the top rope. Paul London and Kendrick try to get into the ring, but the referee prevents them - leaving Super Crazy at the hands of the four 'champions'. The four men grab a limb each and toss Super Crazy up in the air, letting him crash spine first into the mat. MNM whip Super Crazy, who runs straight into a running lariat from Lance Cade. The referee turns around as MNM and Murdoch exit the ring. Cover from Cade. 1-2-3! The Mexicools have been eliminated by underhanded tactics from the two championship teams!

MNM's 'alliance' with TNT doesn't last long as Mercury opts to become the new legal man after The Mexicools' elimination, blindsiding Cade with a clubbing blow to the back before locking in a surfboard stretch. Cade is able to crawl to the bottom rope to break it, but Mercury makes the tag out to Nitro - holding Cade in an abdominal stretch so Nitro can kick him in the ribs. Murdoch tries to get in to save his partner, but the referee blocks him. MNM whip Cade and drop him to the canvas with a linked arm clothesline. Cover from Nitro, but Cade somehow kicks out. He's again whipped, and this time Brian Kendrick makes the blind tag. He leaps into the ring with a springboard senton that floors both members of MNM. Cade staggers to his corner for a much needed rest as Kendrick battles the two members of MNM with kicks and dropkicks. He attempts to hit Sliced Bread #2 on Nitro, but he gets shoved face first into the turnbuckle and then caught with a reverse atomic drop. Nitro tags out to Mercury, who hits a reverse neckbreaker and covers. London comes in to stamp on the pin and break it at two. Nitro tries to re-enter the ring, but this time it's MNM being kept apart by the referee. Kendrick hits a scoop slam on Mercury and London goes up top... LONDON CALLING! Mercury is out cold! Kendrick is about to come across for the cover when Murdoch slaps his hands together to signal a tag. The referee turns around at the sound and assumes Murdoch was tagged in. Murdoch covers Mercury. 1-2-KICKOUT! Murdoch can't believe it! He turns around to find a very agitated Kendrick still in the ring. SLICED BREAD #2! Mercury clotheslines Kendrick out of the ring. 1-2-3! MNM just pinned TNT! The Raw tag champions will be going home empty handed tonight!

Paul London doesn't waste any time in re-entering the match and, as Mercury turns around, greets him with a brutal superkick! He covers! 1-2-NO! Melina drags London from the ring! Kendrick is still down on the outside as London wastes valuable time arguing with Melina. She slaps him! London begins to chase her and, predictably, she leads him to where Nitro is waiting for a back body drop onto the floor! Meanwhile Mercury is back to his feet. London gets rolled into the ring. Here it comes.... SNAPSHOT! Mercury covers.

Kendrick makes the save! Kendrick came in at the nick of time! He runs to the turnbuckle, climbs it and hits the Left Turn at Alberquerque on Mercury! Paul London goes up to the top rope as the crowd's cheers build. They're going to do it! They're going to... NO! Melina clobbers London across the back with the tag title belt! London crashes to the mat! Nitro has just sent Kendrick over the top rope! He drags Mercury across to where London lays. 1-----2------3! MNM have united the tag titles thanks to Melina's interference! Nitro drags Mercury to his feet and Melina meets them on the ramp with all four title belts! MNM will leave No Way Out as the undisputed tag team champions!

We cut backstage to where Rey Mysterio and Ken Kennedy are celebrating in the hallway. They're surrounded by Smackdown stars not featured on the card (guys like Road Warrior Animal, Heidenreich, Hardcore Holly, and JBL) who are all united in congratulating them for defeating Team Raw and giving some pride to Smackdown.

Theodore Long pushes through the mass to shake Kennedy and Mysterio's hands.
Long: Well dona, playas. You've done Smackdown proud.
Rey: It was our pleasure, Teddy. Right, Ken?
Kennedy: Huh? Oh yeah, our pleasure, Teddy. Good luck out there tonight.
Long: Thanks playas.

FADE

I'm back and better than ever
Eric Bischoff, the general manager of Raw, struts arrogantly out to the ring in his fighting attire - black belt and all. The crowd are booing him like crazy as he gets in the ring.
Eric: Boo all you like, losers. You should be pleased that I'm on a Smackdown event boosting the buyrates. Of course, after tonight there won't be a Smackdown. I'm going to make sure of that. When I fire Teddy Long I'm going to start running things my way. Enough talk. Teddy, get out here.

Theodore Long's music hits and the crowd pop as the Smackdown general manager walks down to the ring. He looks completely out of his depth in wrestling attire.

MATCH SIX - Eric Bischoff vs. Teddy Long
There's a good buzz for this match as referee Nick Patrick calls for the bell. The two general managers circle one another with Bischoff grinning like an idiot the whole time. He extends his hand to shake Long's hand and Long looks as if he's going to accept before leaping on Bischoff and riding him to the ground - all the while clubbing him with punches. The crowd go nuts! The two roll around like divas having a cat fight for a while before Bischoff is able to get to his feet. He connects with a sharp kick to Long's ribs before hitting a passable snapmare to bring the Smackdown general manager to the ground. He quickly locks him in a choke hold, but Nick Patrick begins the count and he breaks it off.

Bischoff continues to control things in the match with his greater experience as a wrestler, even busting out a scoop slam and running leg drop for a two count. He gets cocky quickly however, and this allows for Theodore Long to shove him face first into the turnbuckles as he's showboating. As Bischoff staggers backwards Long rolls him up and grabs a handful of tights! 1-2-NO! Bischoff manages to kick out, but he's lost his advantage. Long busts out some old school chops that back Bischoff into the corner before going to the top turnbuckle for a ten punch. The crowd count along as he reaches eight, but their cheers change in pitch as a figure enters the ring. Long notices the change and jumps down. SPEAR! That's Bill Goldberg! Goldberg just Speared Teddy Long to hell! Here it comes... JACKHAMMER! Nick Patrick saw it all but he doesn't ring for the bell. He's grinning! The sick son of a bitch is grinning! Bischoff covers. 1-2-3!
WINNER: Eric Bischoff

Eric Bischoff is helped to his feet by Goldberg as the crowd boo. Nick Patrick raises both means arms before Goldberg hefts Long to his feet. Bischoff grabs a microphone.
Eric: You know, it's going to feel so good to be the one saying this.... Teddy... YOU'RE FIRED!

The fans boo as Goldberg tosses Theodore Long out between the ropes. Bischoff, Patrick, and Goldberg celebrate in the ring to the dismay of the fans.
