OK, due to a bit of free time on my hands, i thought i would head back to the team days and compose an LWOS First XIII. Not quite sure yet, but we could even score 2 teams, ill just see how it goes...As always, anyone who dissaproves with their position can voice their opinions.....here!

Team Analysis: The First team has the name advantage. Quite a solid outfit, led around the park by the ever consistent Roopy. Led up front in the boilerroom by two stalwarts of the game, Ozbash and Gav.Up against the 2nd team, that has a couple of question marks over it, but some individually brillantplayers at their best. The input of experienced heads Willow, Johnsy, The Saint and Hazy will prove invalubale. The side has a decidely St George feel to it.

Except fireworks in the first scrum, quite a few volatile hotheads on both sides

nice to be named in the run on team,lock sits quite comfortably with me,what i do have trouble with though is the number 13,lock in my eyes will always be number 8,i still can't come to terms with the forwards numbers changed to come in line with the poms,us old timers like the old system,anyone else agree?

LWOS possible v LWOS probables

1. Bronco v Gorilla
Tough call but experience should win out with Gorilla having slightly betterlocation, I mean positional play. Possibles0 - Probables 1
2.Canadian Steve v Bomber
Both keen as mustard but just last week Steve was asking what a winger does so... Probables get another point, Possibles 0 - Probables 2
3.MFC v Willow
Youth v Experience. Not a bad match up with plenty of scores to settle, expect a dust up between these two in the opening minutes. Half a point each. Possibles .5 - Probables 1.5
4.Legend v Marcus
Marcus, a RU convert to RL has been in great form of late but is still finding his feetin the greatest game of all. Legend however has been around too long gets the Possibles another point. Possibles 1.5 - Probables 1.5
5.El Duque v Jackal
In what looks like a selection blunder, El Duque is hopelessly out of position and will struggle to contain his speedier opposite. Possibles 1.5 - Probables 2.5
6.Hass v Hazy
The much anticipated clash of the the two H's. Both players coming into form at the right end of the competition. Half a point each. Possibles2 - Probables 3
7.Hutch v St Ted
No one knows more about good service from a half back play then St Ted (aka Lord Ted Goodwin). He may havelost some pace but you can be sure he'll being giving great service to his outside men. Hutch will battle to keep up in this company. Possibles2 - Probables 4
13.Pepe v Yaqona
This is a form guide writers nightmare. Both players being recalled from country comps have seen little of top grade footy of late... half each. Possibles 2.5 - Probables 4.5
12.Roopy v Space Monkey
Another much anticipated match up with both players in top form. Lower grade player Kurt Gidley has written that Roopy is his inspiration while Space Monkey gets huge wraps for having such a beaut name. Half a point each. Possibles3 - Probables 5
11.Raging Bulldog v Johnsy
Both players come into this game with high reputations but have beeninconsistent of late A question mark over Raging Bulldog's defence and Johnsy appears to have the law on his side. Point to Probables. Possibles3 - Probables 6
10.GavBT v Noodles
A great clash between two tremendous front rowers. Noodles has been a bit quiet of late while GavBT has been stirring up a hornets nest with dubious back play action. The Possibles have the edge. Possibles4 - Probables 6
9.JustMe v Dog
Recently contracted, Justme has shown the way from dummy half all season. This is going to be a tough ask for Dog but he is known to surprise his opponents with some great bursts just wide of the ruck. Just the same, Justme has the wood at hooker. Possibles5 - Probables 6
8.Ozbash v The Saint
The two warhorses of the comp going toe to toe again. Who can forget the brawl of '98? Ozbash may be getting on but has lost little in pace while Saint has been missing a few tackles of late. Point to the Possibles. Possibles6 - Probables 6

End result... A DRAW!!!!!
