Lyon hasn't done anything to warrant being dumped.

Iirc we went with this express pace attack at Perth in 08 - oh yeah pea heart Tait and co! Got smashed

SOK should be the test spinner, but thats not happening and tbh, Lyon has done pretty well on less than helpful wickets. We're going to need a spinner to bowl in tandem with Hilfenhaus at WACA, otherwise the over rate will be too slow.

Lyon has proven that he is one of the top 2 spinners in Australia at the moment. I'd stick with him.

Hopefully the last test has put Punter, Clarke and Hussey into good dependable form, might be worth dropping Marsh and bring Usman back in.

I'd be tempted to swap Warner and Ponting in the batting order.

Haddin must go, more than anyone else in the team, he should be the first to be dumped.

I’m a big believer in always having a spinner in your team regardless of the pitch however I can see the logic in 4 quicks at Perth plus Clarke.

As for the broader question of lyon’s place in the side, as others have said, the Indians play spin well, the quicks have dominated and the tracks haven’t been spin friendly.

He did well on debut overseas and again at the GABBA so he shouldn’t lose his spot in the team.
