There are many on here who were happy to say goodbye to Garrick and SAAB. Garrick was classified as not being good enough for 1st grade and too slow and SAAB took too long to field kicks and then turn and make metres.

I hope we are not exiting these 2, before they have had time to develop fully.
Nah they can both go, neither have any speed whatsoever and I’ve yet to see any type of ball playing ability from Matt even though he has 50 games under his belt now.

Neither have a place in the modern day backline for the NRL.

The Feagai twins are good players that need time. I hope they both stay but wherever they end up they will be solid first graders.
We will probably be stuck with Suli, powerful runner who can not pass or defend in the centres.
Move him to the backrow or arivadechi
Mat scored one of the best individual tries you’d ever see so the talent is there.
Not enough self belief. Has been poorly coached since making FG.
I want both Feagais to stay.

I don't know what type of ball playing you're expecting from him on the wing. In his few games at centre he's shown he's capable of throwing a nice pass and has good footwork

o My issue with the Feagais is as they have aged, they seem to have grown physically quite large, but havent got the speed and agility to match their physicality.. and hence to make it as outside backs.. But I dont think they are big enough for any position in the forwards either.. .. so I dont know what their position is.. if Matt is actually playing through injury, maybe we shouldnt be judging him.. but the way this last few months as panned out with his defence.. I dont see enough pluses to keep spending time on him, I'd rather have a go at Sione or Lobb or whoever...

o Saab I was always happy to see go, hated his dinner plate eyes.. such a cat.. and now im wondering if he had drama with Lomax inside of him.. that might have encouraged him to seek his leave.

o Garrick.. he seems to have heart and courage and I think thats what has made him a success.. because I didnt see anything special in NSW Cup at the dragons..... but sometimes I wonder if we over-hype his abilities (simply because we lost him), his goalkicking is the same as Zacs basically, and hes not blisteringly fast.. like I wish we had him also as our fullback, but I cant help but wonder if he could end up a bit of a plodder down the track.. he doesnt seem particular 1st class in any particular attributes, but overall a good player to have in your system.. really reliable..big body.. and goalkicking is a great attribute.

One great try doesn't make a summer..
Rava might have let in few but scored 20.
How many has Matt scored ?
When he drops the bombs they kick at him.
I don't think any coach can teach him to catch.

Matt scored the match winner against the Roosters with a magic pick up of a cross field kick... (Flanagan was a commentator that night btw and raved about it). He also did some tidy work setting up a try for B Hunt v Souths at Kogarah. So he has shown glimpses in attack. He's just all at sea in defence

I agree with your comments but i would say he is at sea in attck as well. Now i know our team has been poor for several years, but he simply does not excite me as a winger or even as a solid first grader. While we can point to the examples you noted, but when was the last time he beat his man with pace or a fend or a swerve? Rava might not be fast, but get him 2 or even 3 on 1 close to the line and i would back him most times to score. Feagei to me does not offer anything apart from being a junior and people's reluctance to let him go in case he comes good under a new coach. After something like 50 games that i think he has played, IMO most top clubs would have moved him on by now.

They have both already got to the dogs but one can only hope that they are joining the dogs for next season
Spot on. The bullgrubs are welcome to them, specially Matt who needs a seeing eye dog or a frontal lobotomy as he has a big problem equating himself with his chosen position. In simple terms, the nong wont stay on his wing.

While Matt has done a few things I never feel like he is about to make something happen or score a try. Matt has 4 tries in 22 games. Admittedly not helped by his inside centre. But i have not seen enough, and no evidence of speed or catching attacking kicks, to suggest he might be much more than an average player at best. Not someone we build a team around or rely upon at the end of the line to get us tries.

Matt has shown me a bit & Max very little so I can see why he’s been told to look around.
Max has rarely had a chance to impress at the top as his brother has, mainly because of injury. But imho he is the most able of the two, going on what I have seen of him in Reggies. Bottom line tho, is both are poor defenders and readers in defense which has to cancel out either wasting our salary cap any further.

Our outside backs do not score long range tries nor do they run down opposition breaks.

The best teams have that capability so best we follow that logic if we want to see success.

B Moz was fantastic at it and Nighty scored the ones that needed to be scored from close range.

We have Rava to do the Nighty stuff now we need an out an out speedster who can tackle and the Feagai twins don't fit the bill.

Just imagine three things hadn’t happened this year, firstly Griffin hadn’t swapped lomax from his preferred side, two someone hadn’t fiddled with Lomaxs kicking style and lastly Feagai had either been dropped or stopped coming off his wing. We would be a lot higher on the ladder and Griffin might still be there. I’m thankful for small mercies.
