The bulldogs have a leagues club. The players should have a closed door function there so the 'media' can't engage in such sleazy 'journalism'. What else would you expect from news, limited?

Stupid by the players, but no big deal.

“We’ve got a compromising photo of a bulldogs player and we need a witty headline for the back page”

“I know! Let’s reference the Baha Men!”

“Well we stayed up all night, but it was worth it”

It's not like the commentators haven't mentioned the no tries in a season nudie run 10 times a game for the last month.

Not sure how any of the public would’ve seen them
That pub is not exactly anywhere near traffic or where the public would be walking past.

I am talking about something that has happened in the present as in the past 24 hours.

What Souths and other clubs have done in the past has been just as reprehensible. At that time their actions were rightly criticised and dealt with. Instead of criticising the paper, forum members should be criticising the players whose actions have tarnished the image of the club and our great game.
Agree players should be more like this:

"The timing of the debauchery couldn't have been worse"

When exactly did they expect Mad Monday to happen?

If they made it today Traumatic Tuesday, no one would have been looking.Tuesday is media photographers' off day.

Didnt they try this a few years ago, and ended up telling a female journo where to go, after she kept hanging around looking for dirt.

Media are scum.

Who did they hurt? No one.
What did they damage? Nothing.
Is Mad Monday the one day of the year players are expected to drink and muck up? Yes
Is the bar also at fault for serving alcohol to guests who have already obviously had too much to drink? Yes

Move on.

Yep.
The journal I question was rightly tagged as a guttersnipe at the time.

Well this is pretty much what you expect from the Telecrap.

If they followed them around all day in the hope of getting a "scoop" they probabaly think they have some breaking news.

Its akin to calling out the groom for getting shit faced on his bucks night.

Oh no, football players drank too much alcohol during a Mad Monday celebration
Hold the front page

Wankers

re the photo's - are they paparazzi photos or just people with camera phones who sent them to the Tele?
Its how the World is now. Every person is a potential photographer for a newspaper.

On the whole get nude thing. All year we hear about how players are going to have to do a nudie run for not scoring a try. The Dogs do one of theirs at the Rocks (about as Sydney as it gets) and the media cry foul.
