Lol @ the nanny state the media is trying to create.

Great to see most footy fans giving it to the media on this, if anything illegal was done then fair enough but there are no reports of that at this stage

Trouble is the pub and staff who served them are going to be heavily fined or could even lose their jobs if the breaches of their RSA’s are bad enough.

The bulldogs have a leagues club. The players should have a closed door function there so the 'media' can't engage in such sleazy 'journalism'. What else would you expect from news, limited?

Stupid by the players, but no big deal.
The Leagues Club is a public venue the same as the Harbour View Hotel, where they had a private function.

Three or four years ago the media poked cameras through fences, had a journo and cameraman baiting players for a reaction from the fence and put a helicopter over Belmore.

If you think the players or the club are the problem here, you're missing the point.

I definitely remember the hoopla the media tried to manufacture with a closed door function a few years ago. Not for one second am I blaming the players or the club, the grubby 'media' here is the problem. The phrase 'stupid' about the players was more referring to leaving themselves in position that gave such an easy shot to a grubby tabloid

Didnt they try this a few years ago, and ended up telling a female journo where to go, after she kept hanging around looking for dirt.

Media are scum.
Jayne Azzopardi. They weren't even talking to her, they were talking to themselves inside their own complex and one player called another player a dog or something along those lines yet Jayne who was trying to listen in from the fence cried foul. There is absolutely no shelter from these journo scums.

I hope one year the players find out where News LTD xmas party is and stalk them with cameras, would be hilarious.

https://www.bulldogs.com.au/news/2018/09/04/bulldogs-statement-on-team-get-together-on-monday/

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs would like to make the following statement in regard to the team's end of season get together yesterday:

'In regard to images from the team's get together on Monday, the club accepts that they were unacceptable and a poor reflection on the individuals involved and the club. The players are aware of their responsibilities and the standards required when representing the club and yesterday's behaviour was unacceptable and a bad look for the game.

The club will now work with all relevant stakeholders to gather information and fully review what took place yesterday.

The club is also working closely with the NRL in regard to determining the next steps in this review."

Really disappointed with the club's response here. Hope the 'investigation' sends some ire back in the Tele's direction.
