There will be a decision made over the weekend concerning Madpups tricep, pending scans. If its the worst then bye bye 07 for the deputy dog.

Source DT league liftout.

Good news however for the poor mans Shoe, old Georgie boy gets a start ahead of Franze if the pup gets the punt.

Has anyone done the analysis on our injury prior to the famous "lack of injuries" thread and after it, talk about the biggest mock in history.

Well it was before Origin 1 no?

So since then at one stage or another...

Kidley, Mullen, Bedsy, Simmo, Wooly, Reyno, Polglase, Little Doogs, and Franze have been injured.

I think thats the lot.

See, an injury like this won't hurt us so much next season with out new backline. But Mad Pup is a pretty big loss right now. He is one bloke that knows how to find his way to the tryline.

the doogs had a good combination going for one and a bit games - but Georgy will fill the gap well enough.
Georgy is being given one last chance and should give everything he has - if only to get an ESL contract next season.

We didn't have him at the start of the year so I doubt it would have out a huge dent into Smith's plans. Will Bailey switch to the centres? Please don't let Carmont come into the side, please GOD!.

You know, if Reyno and abes weren't injured, I would have liked to see Patto get the job in the centres. But now our stocks are a little thin for backrowers, so we probably need him up front more.

Bailey is an interesting option.
It is pretty amazing that he has been given several starts in different positions and has never let us down yet.
But i say give George a run. He hasn't set the world on fire in PL, but he has just been going through the motions. Give him a shot at firstgrade and he will play the game of his life.

Even if he does play the game of his life it still wont be good enough to trouble anyone. His has no talent, ability, skill or speed his sh*te.

I don't msee a poin in giving Carmont a run for 3 reasons

1.He's not going to be around next year
2.It forces mad dog to play majority of the game on the wing
3.he sucks

I know we are running a new broom through the place - and i love it as much as the rest of you - but right now i think we should just concentrate on the rest of 2007.

If we were thinking of 2008 i would say Bailey and Uate or Vuna - but for the rest of 2007 and our chances or making the finals and perhaps going on with it - it has to be Doogs and George.

George has been ordinary in PL, has been ordinary 1st grader, what makes anyone think he is our best option

Tighe and McManus havnt shown many weaknesses in recent times, so no, I dont think it has to be Carmont in the team.

A few seasons of firstgrade where he developed into a decent player.
He isn't a star, but he is the best we have at the moment.
Every bit as good as Tighe.

Hinton on the wing outside McDougall might be as good or better option though. Hinton has shown he is a firstgrader too.

I would rather

doogs at centre where is lack of pace is less of a liability, and either Hnton, Vuna, Uate of Polglase on the wing

I don't think Carmont has ever been decent, he's small and slow as piss

Considering the backline that PL is using, Hinton, Uate, Carmont, Gordon, Vuna. I really don't see any other option other than Carmont. Playing Hinton out of position is the next best option but still not as safe and playing any of the others is too risky. Carmont is the safest option.
