Well I shall be somewhat more diplomatic , the knuckleheads that thought this one up should be flushed down the Suncorp Stadium loo , preferably the public one where all the common folk do their business.

Sydney has NO league on over the entire weekend thus allowing the rival codes a free ‘ leg-up ‘ . I am sure that some of those clods in the NRL are distantly related to our maestro .

I really like the idea for non bronco fans up in southern qld. We would only get to see our team once a year if not every two years at Brisbane, and it’s arguably the best of the big league stadiums. In Sydney you could watch a non-Sydney team play most away games in the city. So yeah it makes sense for qld league supporters and let’s face it, if you don’t like the broncos, you fricken hate them. Got a feeling a few lagers will be sold.

Great idea, but unsurprisingly pathetic execution by the NRL.

The Super League have done it over two days, where there is a carnival feel and people get along for a full day of footy.

Meanwhile, our homies in charge go the money grab, making the concept a waste of time.

Magic round?

It’s been a magic season so far..

See the dragons make 5 players fit into a 4 man spine..

Watch the roosters fit all their players under their mystical salary cap..

Gasp as Wayne Bennett pulls a rabbit out of his hat..

Marvel at the Titans amazing disappearing crowd..

Be amazed at how Steve Kearney keeps his warriors coaching job..

View the panthers as they magically make a mobile phone appear..

Watch the broncos reveal just how bad a coach Seibold is..

Be there as the storm bedazzle the refs to gift them games..

Listen to the gasps from the novocastian crowd as ponga does nothing special..

Witness the amazing ladder climb from the raiders..

Wonder why the cowboys are wasting so much talent..

See yet another bulldogs fan instantly transition into police custody..

Be spellbound as to why Parramatta haven’t resigned Gutherson..

Amaze as you watch Des make reserve graders win for manly..

Feel mystified as to how Robbie Farah kills yet another coach..

Watch your breath disappear as you realise that despite all the evidence, Cronulla are still in the comp..

It's the shittiest idea of all time.
There are plenty of other clubs that could do with the revenue that would be generated from this event but they will never get the opportunity.
A con job of the 1st order by that f**k whit Beattie.
The QLD government paid the NRL 2.5 million dollars for the magic round, that's why it exists, everything to do with NRL is about $$$.

I could understand the logic if the round was being played in non traditional rugby league territory i.e. Perth.

It’s such an incredibly dumb concept.

..........which begs the question, WTF do the nrl do with all the monies they rake in?
It certainly doesn't go back to the clubs or the grassroots.

IF they had any brains, being that it over and above what they normally reake in, why not give it to the grassroots ( country areas especially ) to fund schools etc. A good cash injection would bring benefits further down the track.

Too simple really.

Why not in country area.
They would never have all games in one weekend in Sydney.
Cost a bit to get a flight and accommodation for this .
On last night the titans are hard to watch.
Does anyone care about the titans.
They have never worked and won't .
Relocate them to Brisbane or somewhere else.
They will never be a serious threat.
Stupid errors should have won but gave it to the gummy sharks.

I like it, but that is a selfish perspective as i live in QLD.

Another chance to see the lads play that i may have otherwise missed, there's a lot of new blood in town which is good for the local economy and the opportunity for a young non brainwashed QLD kid to see some Tedesco gold, a scintillating Dufty try or some Mitchell magic and decide to follow another team other than the Donkeys is all positive news.

Best part though is listening to Broncos season ticket holders whinge and whine about not getting their season seats allocated to them and having to pay to watch the Broncos at Suncorp (it's an away game so no recognition for season tickets) has been priceless......just hope they get smashed now to top things off.

Odds on Melbourne are next for a Magic round. So much for the locals who support any team and don’t have the money etc to go to Brisbane.
I think games to the country towns would be a better scenario for some games.country people are big league fans

Country towns is a great idea.
8 games played in the bush at various little country grounds, gives people that live in rural areas doing it tough with drought etc the chance to watch some NRL footy live.
Give something back to the people and stop making every little decision based purely on $$$.
