The hunt is now on for a red-white October

IT only took a word of warning from Dragons' super coach Wayne Bennett to club officials to ensure St George Illawarra resumes semi-final hostilities against Parramatta at Jubilee Oval, Kogarah, this Sunday nine days after thrashing them at the same ground.
The manner of the Dragons' comprehensive 37-0 win over the Eels on the weekend in front of 17,974 Kogarah fans will ensure the red-and-whites are hot favourites for Sunday's game.
The victory gave the Dragons the minor premiership; and the sight of the J.J. Giltenan Shield being paraded around Jubilee Oval the Dragons' spiritual home ensured the cash lure of the NRL gate would not be enough to shift the semi-final to the bigger Sydney Football Stadium.
Dragons' supporter Dick Caine, the Carss Park swim coach, was trying this week to organise large TV screens in the centre of Kogarah so thousands of fans who miss tickets for the sell-out match can watch the game live.
