Well according to so many commentators on the weekend on the radio and TV, I mean the Melbourne v Parra game was fit and worthy of a Grand Final according to them and Melbourne has it in the bag next Sunday night  I guess we (Manly) should just hand over the trophy now and be done with it according to the experts  yes we are hated, yes we may not have been as impressive as all 15 other sides in the comp this year:lol: our forward pack isn't big enough, we have a coach who as a player was fitness mad but had no creativity and that's what he's brought to Manly as a coach, oh and yes we bought an absolute dud in Jamie Lyon this season and our home field Brookvale stinks....................did I forget to mention we did finish 2nd but of course we fluke that in the hardest rugby league comp in the world !
Stuff the press, stuff you all :p I hope we go out there and smash the mexicans, then of course turn around next season in 2008 as the certainties for the wooden spoon yet again!

Manly should smash melborune to be honest, melbourne are really nothing special. Manly have the team to beat them easily, but the nrl is on melbournes side and at the end of the day, the nrl get what they want

Chile, Matt Orford is a choker who doesn't perform past the second week of September. You forgot that one, so I'm obliged to help out.

Maybe we should just concede the game and Let Norths run around in our place on the night.

If they are all saying Manly don't have a chance I expect Beaver to be holding that trophy aloft on Sunday night.

But all the refs love us and that's how we've managed to win matches, so maybe we're still a chance if the ref loves us this week.
Really though, we've pretty much gone under the radar all season, and I'm much more comfortable with being talked down than being talked up.

ur right there definetly not the prettiest, or the most flashiest side and dont have the razzle dazzle like the eels, sharks, warriors etc but they are tough and stick to there game plan.

they wont leak many points and as long as ur doing that there in with a great shot

it's of great benefit to go into grand final day as overwhelming underdogs... just ask the knights.

i see this game as a 50-50... worthy of the grand final. the correct 2 teams made it in... and it SICKENS me to say it.. but i hope manly win - seeing that newton dog win a premiership would all but kill my faith in karma.

I don't know whay people would think Manly have no chance. They have played well all year.

Could easily go either way.

I think that Manly have a chance BECAUSE the Parra v Melbourne game was worthy of a GF.

Melbounrne had to dig real deep, and they are hurting. It will take a great effort from them to do it again. I think that they will prevail in a close one, but that if the Prelim matchups were reversed they would have smashed Manly to smithereens. Actually, if the Prelim matchups were reversed Manly mightn't have made it.

Don't think it will be a high scoring game, and the Eels have definitely helped Manly by softening up the Melbourne team. Can go either way, unless it comes down to field goals... here Melbourne are screwed, but then so are Manly if they let Orford do all the field goal attempts.

Hopefully my drive home to Victoria from Sydney will be better than the drive home last year.
