Sorry to say it but his CityRail work doesn't have an "exciting sound" - sounds pretty normal to me.

BS surely. What's a home ground advantage without a home ground announcer?


We had our regular announcer, Scotty McCrae, for both our home finals in 2003 and 2004, but he had to stay neutral and not show any "bias" towards the Panthers (i.e. get the crowd behind the home team, etc.)

Needless to say, McCrae did let slip a few times (intentionally too), much to the delight of the crowd (and probably frustration of the NRL).

But honestly, we earned those home finals - we should have got all the advantages that came with it, even down to the style of the ground announcer.
