Still believe this is going to fizzle to nothing.

But if they have done the dodgey then fair cop.

One thing I hope this has proven to Penn, is that you can't let dimwitted f*ckwits like Fulton and Peters to bully staff around and treat the operation like its their plaything.

Continue to burn people and sooner or later, someone will bite back.

The club has never gone out of the chook raffle mentality tbh.

We're lucky that our culture is basically 'Win shit and be good' because otherwise...

Manly should ask for an independent auditor and get John Hopoate in for the forensic examination.
He will get to the bottom of it.
You can be sure the culprit will get fingered.
The paper bags will be brown by the time he is finished....

Sea Eagles Statement on progress of NRL Salary Cap Investigation

Fri 21st July, 05:34PM

Contrary to reports today, the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles wish to advise that the Club is complying with all directions and notifications provided under the current Salary Cap Investigation being conducted by the NRL Integrity Unit.

Both the Club and the NRL have been extremely efficient in sourcing and extracting extensive information and data that has been requested, with legal due diligence around this process followed throughout.

Given that the Investigation process is confidential in nature, we are unable to provide further comment as to the nature of how the investigation is proceeding other than to state the Club is pleased with the significant and rapid progress that has been achieved to date.

The process has followed the Club’s request to NRL management to promptly have any innuendo and unfounded allegations surrounding the Club investigated and cleared once and for all. This is our highest priority given our Club’s consistent clean record of compliance and integrity.

"Given the investigation process is confidential in nature".....hahahaha. NRL doing a great job of keeping confidentially, given all the leaking and whining today.

“We met with Todd Greenberg and Nick Weeks [Tuesday] and said, ‘look we are keen to wrap this up quickly’, so come down [Wednesday],” Penn said.

Integrity unit investigators seized player-payment paperwork earlier this week but have been unable to obtain computer hard drives or mobile phones as they did with the Parramatta Eels investigation.

Lawyers for both Manly and the NRL have been in talks all day about the stand-off.
As a privately owned business, the Sea Eagles are standing firm and insist the NRL have no rights to inspect all their private financial records.

lol. Not suss at all, straight from the Andrew Gee school of carpet sweeping!

Well is the investigation procedure confidential or not ?
Or is the NRL in the business of hanging clubs out to dry before due process ?

You are just sitting at your little desk praying to whatever it is Eels supporters pray to, that your arch rivals are caught out.

Keep swinging champ.
