Meh, they have some really good second rowers as is, if Menzies goes for another year they wont need one until 2010. They have Jared WH in the under 20s toughening up in the front row, he'll probably be ready for 1st grade next year. They have a lot of forward depth, with Kite playing 2nd row when all are fit. 5/8th is the only position lacking.

Yep

All the assets to be a good 5/8 (not great but how many clubs have really super 5/8th's these days) but not much of a kicking game. He's got the ability to be a great footballer, not just another backrow drone who can pass a bit that we see a lot of now.

$160k per season is a pretty good price for both parties. Great buy Manly!

We'll give you some help and say that there are 100 centres running round the 16 teams 25 top players. That would place Bell in the top 5. Considering he is the third best centre at Manly I'm assuming you think the NRL's best centres are:

1. Hodges
2. Gasnier
3. Lyon
4. Matai
5. Bell

You are officially off your rocker.

Having said that he did play pretty well two seasons ago and was not too bad last season. He has only played one really good game this season so far and his winger has forgotten what a football looks like.

Umm, the salary cap is $4 million. There are 25 players in an NRL squad.

$4 000 000 / 25 = $160 000.

Don't compare it to what you earn, compare it to an average NRL player's salary.
