Is that the week after the Arnotts Biscuits Round playing for the Monte Carlos Iced VoVos Cup.

I hope we have a big Monte Carlos between the hoops on the black white and blue. As soon as Highgate gets one of those I'll have my order in quick smart.

Yep. Loser gets a box of Krispy Creme flavoured Tee Vee Snacks. Stale ones.

Shadowboxer..... Mate it put a smile on me old dial watching that live stream from Henson last week.

Bluebags -v- North Sydney. ... what a blast.

Dead set I got the shivers when they panned out and saw the gates high up on the Hill. It brought back memories for me. My old Pop was a mad one eyed Newtown supporter and he, dad and I walked from Sydneyham (up on the princes hwy opposite the old brick works) all the way to Henson to watch the Bluey's go around. I can't remember who they played but I loved it. I can remember going through the gates and seeing the big hill. And the small old grand stand on the other side.
It’s a fine day out Quigs.
My grandfather too was a nut bag blue bag.
To be honest, the beer fest day is too crowded for my liking, but pretty sure the last event outsold the game at brookvale that Saturday a few years back pre-covid.
The team are flying and have been over the last few years - can only hope our relationship with the great club continues

Manly have just dug themselves a hole, regardless of where you stand on the issue. If they backflip and the team doesn’t run onto the park in the jerseys then Manly will cop a beating for not being inclusive and bending to the minority who refuse to move with the times based on an old book of fiction.

Any beating that Manly gets is fine by me.

Beanie for cancer, women, indigenous, pride, retro etc etc
Anzac as an etc

I'm surprised every team doesn't have a jersey full of witches and wizards, magicians and conjurers, dragons and faeries for Magic Round.

NRL won't be happy till they are getting the fanatics paying out $169 (whatever) for at least 10 jerseys a year.

What are your thoughts about the point in the article that betting and alcohol are also against their religion, yet they have no issues playing at 4 Pines Park or major sponsorship with Sportsbet? But they are taking a stand against the pride jersey?
The difference is this:

Most Christians would argue that:
1. Drinking alcohol is not wrong - just abuse of alcohol.
2. Placing a bet is not good management of money, but it is a personal choice.

However, the Bible speaks against:
1. Adultery
2. Homosexual behaviour
3. Having sex with someone that you’re not married to.

So, to answer your question, there is a big difference.

The hypocrisy that I have seen first-hand has been that many so-called Christians don’t actually abide by those rules, so there is some truth to what you’re saying.

Usman Khawaja has the alcohol logos removed from Australia shirt. No issue. Play on.

Should players have to wear logos/shirts that conflict with beliefs? I would say no. Let those that don't want to wear the rainbow jersey, wear the regular one. The base colour is the same.

Same issue flared up in MLB with the Tampa Bay Rays. Some players took the Khawaja approach and removed the patch.

Anyway, f**k Manly.
