If you had the choice who would you like to see come to the Warriors.

imo, Manu would fit the team best. With Mate'o on the left side Manu could terrorise the right. He has a quality offload and his hit ups are just as powerfull as anyone in the game.

Blair adds leadership but also comes with a higher price tag.

Both are great players and hopefully the Warriors get one of them.

We need a prop. We already have plenty of second rowers, so it depends on whether either will play prop. Sika Manu seems to be rumoured to be going to either the Knights or the Cowboys, Adam Blair has been linked with the Warriors obviously, but I reckon he'll stay with the storm, especially if GI goes to the broncos.

I'll take Blair first thing but Manu will be okay - Now I'm starting to think with all these player coming into the mix (such as mateo, inu, matai maybe and now maybe manu or blair) I think It could ruin what we already have in terms of combinations and positions

Its great to have depth though

If I could have 1 of them, it would be Blair as a prop.
Neither will be coming here though.

Depends what the competition is like next year. Who knows if the current team will perform as well next year. I think we've recruited well, and although I was initially against the idea, I think i'm comfortable with the idea of signing Matai now, if it does happen. That's a straight swap for Tate. Not sure who Mateo is going to replace though and Inu gives us options with his versatility which will keep the back line on its toes. I think a prop would just about seal the deal and we'd have a very competitive squad for next year, especially when you consider how better off guys like Brown, Tai'i, Packer and so on will be for having the experience of this season.

I'd certainly take Blair. I'm glad Lima is off the market now. The guy has been hanging around Slater, Smith & co. for too long. He's turning into a real cat, meow.

Leaning towards Blair slightly if we play him at prop but would be happy if they signed either player. Agree with Martli though, we need a specialist prop! You can't replace Steve Price with converted second rowers!

If we can't buy a top prop, and that is looking pretty slim, then I think we should keep our money.

The young chaps are doing good. With Sam back we have Sam Rapira, Russ Packer, Jerry Latimore, Ben Matulino, Upu Poching, James Gavet and Steve Rapira. (Though I think he is going to be too light.)
I would rather we signed Mark Ioane to an upgraded contract and kept Royal for another year.

blair...even if he plays at prop.

we need players with workrate, regardless of what position they are suited too.

I've changed my mind now - I don't want either because as Rich102 said "Our young chaps are doing good" Keep the money for leverage or upgrade a youngster

I think you've hit the nail on the head. Unless it's a top class prop, I think we have a good core quad of props in Packer, Rapira, Latimore and Royal, followed by Matulino who can interchange into backrow, and of course Poching and Gavet who have big wraps on them. I too am very impressed by Mark Ioane. He's been playing the house down in U20s. Goes forward all day long and is very capable of ball playing in broken field play. Similarly, when Lousi has played a tighter role in first grade I have thought he has held it together nicely, and he has a very good offload in him.

I think we should save our dough, and instead of going for 2-3 more players, go for one high profile, consistent player who can provide us an X factor. The core of this squad is good and points to me that the development strategy is working.

save our dough i reckon

even though we have had injury hassles this year, i think this has got to be the best year on record for judiciary appearances. Adam Blair is too much of a grub and dont really want him here to be honest.
Same with Matai. Really dont want players that we pay over the odds for sitting out games because they cant behave themselves on the field.
This is has to be the best disciplined Warriors team I've seen in a long time. Think Brown and Maloneys spear tackle was the only thing this year. Correct me if im wrong.

Manu!

Could you imagine Blair, the most niggly player in the world, playing in a Warriors jersey, the most penalised team in the NRL, not a good mix. He'd get penalised just for walking on the feild!

Haha, you're right there, Rev.

I know it's been mentioned previously, but do you guys reckon refs see head-high tackles made against us, and just think "He's a Warrior, he can handle it." and don't even call it. I notice it happening a lot with Hohaia too. Yes, I know he's a hobbit, but a head-high tackle is a head-high tackle.
