Not good! I wonder if Koopu in the centres with Byrne on the wing is a possibility?

I'm kinda hoping for that combination tbh.

Byrne and Ah Van up against Tahu and Inu scares me.

It's the curse of the 10 tries for the season....Ravs will be the next one to go down if he doesn't score this weekend!

Yeah, man we're are going to have to DOMINATE their forwards...

Byrne was good though so I have no problem with him being in the team (Which is inevitable). I've got nothing against Ah Van but I just wonder if it's a good idea to put him in with his relative inexperience. Hmmmmm. We'll see who Cleary names tomorrow, but I suspect we wont know until gameday.

My thoughts: Byrne plays his best footy at centre, I think Cleary will put him there with Ah Van on the wing.

I think I'm gonna cry. Why now!?!?! We had our sh*t run in the middle of the season, surely the injuries coulda hit then. Gotta feel for Manu once again, he's been in good form too, poor guy.

It's down to our forwards. We need our two 400 k men to step up. A few offloads by our big men early onto Wadeo and we'll be right.

Turning into the Brisbane Broncos without the finals record (yet), but with more strike power in the backs.

Yeah that's true, however Manu is a great help to the forwards, especially early in the tackle count/late in the game. I hope Paddy is named and steps up big time.

Yeah we will miss Manu taking the first hit up after a kick etc and his ability to create linebreaks for sure.

Bad luck if Manu is out. He has really bounced back from the horror match against the Eels at Cumberland Oval.
Skinny Byrne is an experience campaigner who won't let the Warriors dow. Should be a great match if they both decide to play 'touch football" Could end up 50-48...

Winger Manu Vatuvei was tonight ruled out of the Vodafone Warriors’ first NRL finals campaign since 2003.
The giant 21-year-old won’t play again this season after partially dislocating the patella and suffering posterior cruciate ligament damage in his right leg.
Team doctor John Mayhew said while the injuries were season-ending, Vatuvei probably wouldn’t require surgery.
Vatuvei was forced from the field early in the second half of Saturday night’s last regular season clash against Penrith, a match the Vodafone Warriors went on to win 24-20 to secure fourth spot and a home play-off against Parramatta at Mt Smart Stadium this Friday night.
Vatuvei, who had scored 10 tries in 23 appearances this season, was devastated to learn his season was over.
“It’s disappointing because I was really looking forwarded to playing in the finals for the first time,” he said.
“All I can do now is to give the boys as much support as I can from now on.
“I’ve got to stay positive and do everything I can to recover and be ready for next year. Hopefully there’ll be other chances to play in the finals.”
Vodafone Warriors coach Ivan Cleary was resigned to losing Vatuvei after he was injured on Saturday night.
“It didn’t look too good at the time,” he said.
“Obviously it’s another blow for us coming after Jerome (Ropati) had his season ended last week and we also had to do without Ruben (Wiki) against Penrith.”
Cleary will name his side tomorrow for the first of the 2007 play-offs against the Eels.
Meanwhile, about 15,000 tickets have been sold for the match so far. They were available only to Vodafone Warriors season members yesterday and today but about 14,000 tickets will go on sale to the general public from 9.00am tomorrow.

Poor Bugga, that splits he did vs the Panthers did not look nice. What I time to get injured, but pleased he had some good games after his horror one before it happened.

Unfortunately, that's the way it goes and like all teams they're simply gonna have to cope without him there. The Eels are good- Grand final IMO, but if the Warriors go out there and cope with that stagefright they've had the last couple of weeks they'll give 'em a good run for the money.

This is likely to sound very defeatist, but it is my honest belief.

I truely think we will probably get bounced in straight sets this year, but it won't bother if we can chalk it up to experience and back it up next year.

The experience should help to deal with the stagefright - see the 2001/2002/2003 Warriors.
