Anyone who thinks he won't be playing NRL again is incredibly naive. This is just a ploy to get around the Dragons dodgy back-ended contract.

you're right - that was how the Dragons were paying him until the auditors busted them ( spell it backwards )

No way, can't stand the bloke. I was there cheering as he burst into tears after his last game before heading over to play yawnion in France.

He's had his time, fans of his will give him the sendoff they believe he deserves but opposition fans don't need to feel the same way.

they realised his backended contract was a mistake and they're minimising damage

Once again you have NFI !!!!

He got paid peanuts last year and this year he gets his full pay and retires.
You do the Maths...1.5 year paid and 2.5 NOT paid. We have over 1 million dollars to spend....WOHOOO....spending time is here !!!

Inglis embarrassed this poor bloke in origin and sent him off to French rugby, he came back, Inglis embarrassed him again and sent him into retirement. lol

What? So we can expect Justin Hodges to announce his retirement today as well, can we?

What's Hodges got to do with this?

We are talking about Goosnier, the retirement of an over rated hack who sold out our great game to make a few extra bucks

not Justin Hodges, who is one of the games most devastating runners in the prime of his career.

Who cares. I'm over his drama.

He's just doing what flopmarsh should have done 5 years ago. He knows he will never get back to his best form and instead of draining the club dry he is doing the right thing by them and his family.

All the best Gaz

Give us the facts boys, not just innuendo. What's that, you've got f**k all?
Thought so.

](*,)

sorry, was trying to use a play on words with naive / evian to respond to "Paullyboy" and others who think that there was something "dodgy" going on. A lot of people forget he only played about 1/3 of the season in 2010, so he couldn't have been paid for a full season. Yes the contract was heavily backended, but this is very common & allows clubs to juggle contracts from year to year with players leaving / retiring & others having increases ( form / rep honours ).

I smell a lucrative union contract. He's only 30 years old and while his had his share of injuries during his career, he's hardly a player that you would consider injury prone.

Well for starters, Hodges only played 1 game of the series. He was injured for games 1 & 2. So you're f*cked up point is meaningless

next.........
