Marketing and promotion

I'd expect marketing to pick up,significantly from spetember time. Most tickets get sold 4-6 weeks before event. Opening game and final will sell out so I'd expect they may sell quicker. Other games will be harder sells, like England v Lebanon at sfs. They should offer a discount to Bulldogs, Raiders and Souths members with a support your pommies promotion!

The other night on the AFL pre game; Swans vs Bombers at the SCG. They talked about how JT and Gary Alblett were on the same amount of games and had some similar stats, they showed JT kicking the winner in Origin 2.
There was also a message at the bottom of the screen about the RLWC on 7. Better than nothing. Hopefully more advertising for the WC on Channel 7 sports.

Riding my bicycle tonight from my work in Pyrmont to my home in Coogee, I saw three separate places with RLWC posters: on Pyrmont Bridge, at Todman Avenue. Kensington and at Bream St, Coogee. However, all three posters were the same: advertising the two big games in Brisbane, the semi-final and the final. No mention of any other games, let alone the two games in Sydney.

I'd imagine they're keen to get Sydney people to travel seeing as the Victorian and Qld governments have paid for these games to attract visitors. The dumb merkins.

Mine weren't for the final, they were for group games. They are ezy tickets which you print out at home and take to the match.

Saw a huge billboard on southern cross drive in Sydney advertising the World Cup twice last week. Starting to see more advertising around the ground advertising at nrl games. So things are starting to warm up now.
