The NSW Team was announced live on Nine during their news bulletin. Imagine if the Australian team got the same treatment?

They used to from memory. When they went on tours. The media is too busy drinking from the Origin Kool Aid to announce Test sides these days.. :rage:

I've been in Melbourne for work this week and i have seen 3 billboards advertising the RLWC, one of which was 1 second past the exit of the airport. I have seen no such promotion in Sydney.

Just looked at tickets for Brisbane semi and final and still best seats available around half way, not sure if that is showing not many sold?

Ticket sales look very poor across the board. Will need to wait until after Origin III to see the big marketing push I suppose.

So on May 15 I bought 6 tix for the Dec 2 RLWC final. I have been overseas since, and today have just seen the emailed tickets with the PAX at 9994.

Does this mean they have sold almost 10,000 tickets to the final as of May 15 ?

Anyone got any other PAX updates for this and all the other games?

(Is it just me or do ticket sales seem rather sluggish?)

Has anyone been sent any e-tickets yet? I ordered at the start of the year and the response was that they would be sent in June. I realise there are still 12 days of June left but I thought I'd ask the question.

Mine are all on my iPhone wallet. The links to load them onto my phone were sent a while back now.

Don't think PAX is entirely accurate, but usually not far off. Someone from the NRL Crowd watch thread would know better.

Assuming it's close, 1/5th of tickets sold for the final 5 months out isn't too bad. Would anyone know how many tickets have been sold for the NRL Grand Final at this point in time for comparison?

Maybe we should start our own RLWC2017 Crowd watch thread to keep a track of PAX numbers, expected crowds and the like.

No real need to worry about low ticket sales until closer to the event. Plenty of people like myself who simply haven't gotten around to it yet

Just booked my final tickets. $160 each for sideline. Plenty of choice in that price range. Looking forward to a great tournament.

Interesting … I bought mine on May 15 and I was PAX 9994 … so they've sold less than 1500 in the past month.

I hope to goodness they start a BIG sales push sometime soon, for ALL the games !!
