Jeez that depth is bad, even considering injuries & resting. What’s going on with the development systems in Queensland? Those numbers seem very low. New Zealand and some of the Pacific Islands would have more eligible players than that.
Based on nothing but gut feeling I wonder if Qld development suffers because it's junior rep teams ie 16 18 20s are part of qcup team systems whereas junior rep teams in nsw are under nrl club systems. No disrespect to the qcup teams but they are semi pro at best compared to fully funded nrl systems in nsw.

The odds of Warriors sensation Reece Walsh debuting for the Maroons are set to firm if AJ Brimson is ruled out of Gold Coast's match against Manly on Sunday, while Cronulla's Will Chambers and North Queensland’s Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow could be playing off for a centre spot on Friday night.

Penrith’s Kurt Capewell is also expected to shift from the centres to the interchange for Origin II as the Maroons look for a way to limit the damage caused by Tom Trbojevic and Chambers, Tabuai-Fidow or Parramatta’s Tom Opacic are among the options likely to be considered.

If you want someone to make a break and score you points, Hammer is the man. But the brief seems to be to keep Turbo quiet, Not sure they've got anyone who can do that but maybe Chambers for a desperate coach. Capewell is a backrower and that's where they should use him.

Don’t know why Walsh is being considered: 1, 6, 7, and 14 are covered.

Kalyn Ponga has been ruled out of Newcastle's clash with the Warriors due to his ongoing groin problem and is also out of contention for Queensland's shot at redemption in Origin II.

Exactly, reeks of desperation the fact that he's even been mentioned. Maybe if he was a centre or middle forward you'd consider it but spine positions are covered for QLD.
I feel sorry for Walsh, he's been built up to be the next immortal by the casual fans who will inevitably turn on him when he doesn't fulfill the utter unrealistic expectations.

This series is going to be a bloodbath.

Wouldn't surprise me if Munster gets a sudden injury and is ruled out.

So next week I have to watch AFL to watch some footy or one game where Qld gets raped.

I thought playing SOO last year after the GF actually worked.

This prick has been available for selection for QLD since 2018 and has managed to play just 3 games.
He is as resilient as a bucket of pig shit.
