How would he get a head start over Paul McGregor ?

(I caught myself thinking of Paul McGregor as our new Coach for next year when listening to his interview. I forgot - there's Steve Price)

Millward has 12 year's experience as a super league coach. Also helps when ur dad is Bobby steeler Millward ;-)

I have a bad feeling you are correct, I don't think Price can lift the better squad to be better than the top 8 teams unfortunately.

I suspect that McGregor is a work in progress (not sure they would have the balls to put 2 rookies in a row), im thinking the club him as #2 in the queue, and it will depend on the success of Sheens/Millward whoever.

btw Any idea why McGregor is always in origin camps? Buddies with someone? Or does he actually have something unique to offer?

Watching the interview, I thought he spoke as if he was head coach. It had a level of intensity you would not really expect from supporting coach. Not insinuating anything, just an observation.

It's going to be interesting how they share the workload and how the players respond.

Would'nt mind him as head coach, nothing to lose on what we already have.

I had the exact same reaction watching the interview.

I also could not help thinking that when Bennett came in 2009 he got rid of McGregor and made a point of saying there was only one person he wanted to keep from the incumbent coaching ranks: Steve Price.

Makes you wonder how bad MacGregor must really be...

...that's going on 5 years ago.

Think maybe Steve Price is the specialist assistant Coach.

Mary was the strength and conditioning coach before Bennett arrived. We all know that Wayne brings his own staff where ever he goes. Obviously no room for McGregor, no matter how good or bad he was.
