It was a funny game, no-one really stood out from either club. Willie made some good runs so he's as deserving as any man on the pitch tonight.

They sould've announced the winner as "Craig Fitzgibbon" only for Willie to go up & collect!!

mason has matured immensely from his errors of the past. it's a shame that the good things that he does for rugby league behind the scenes and on the field are over shadowed by his past mistakes.

Mason deserved the medal for certain.
O'Meley had a great game, but was obviously the target for the defence. He was well marked tonight.

Mason played alot better than O'Meley in my opinion, O'Meley worked hard but it was more quantity than quality from him, he averaged about 6 metres a hit up mason almost double that, Utai had a good game as well and SHerwin controlled thing beautifully.

On the otherhand very disappointed with Anasta's performance, alot of mistakes and didn't do much, also corey hughes, he'd be alot better player if he just tried to play football instead of milk penalties.

I think that if Easts had won, Braith might've got the award as the Roosters best & fairest...

Not one of the best games from the Chipmunk...

One thing going against SBW was that he is a Kiwi. Same as Nikau in 1999. The CC Medal is decided by the Australian selectors, so they'll be biased even if they try to remain nuetrel, they won't be able to if they think they are. A Kiwi has never won it, always Australians.

I'm definately no doggies fan (i was tonight, i didnt want nightmares of a fittler fairytale) but i think Mason, and the doggies as a whole have had a rough-housing from the media and the public all year, to overcome all of that, and to send off one of the few true gentlemen in the game across the tasman, is truly inspirational. As for willie himself, he's had problems sure, but he is a decent bloke, he supports his family, a very big undertaking for someone so young, and the turnaround he has had since the dramas before origin is phenomenal. He has a problem, hes dealing with it, and sh*tting all over his critics at the same time. On ya big fella!!!!

Mason deserved it.
I thought O'meley wasn't at hius best but Willie made up for it.
Awesome runs that took at least 3 Roosters to bring down.
Fanstastic way to finish the year after all the crap(a great deal undeserved) he has recieved.

When I was at Nowra High in the 80s, all the Warriors juniors used to wear their jackets proudly. Can't recall them ever winning a game. I'm sure they did, but no-one cared.

Rape someone? No. Police found no evidence against the players and he wasn't even one of the ones implicated.

ummm 'no evidence' ?? what a load of crap. they didnt have enough evidence coz the players closed ranks. thats the police force's fault because they left such a huge gap between the incident and when they properly interviewed them. anyone who thinks the players are entirely innocent of dodgy behaviour is deadset kidding themselves. none of us know exactly WHAT happened but its pretty obvious something bad did. if it was entirely innocent then why did so many heads roll over it?

having said that, i think willy mason has been somewhat demonised and i think he is making a genuine effort to rebuild himself and his career. if he stays on the right path then i applaud him. at least he has admitted he has some problems and is trying to change. more than i can say for alot of players.

You can't say that no-one knows what happened, and then in the same sentence say that something did. Heads rolled because of the bullshit media beat up.
A beat up that you were obviously sucked in to.
