Nah, don't want him. Our club is built on values that don't include the likes of him. We have enough trouble managing Thursty's ego, Mason would be out of control.
Didn't stop us from "harbouring" Julian O'Neill did it ...

Love your optimism mate.

Would you be happy for a straight swap for Ben Ross?

No thanks. Unless your mob want to pay 250k of his contract whilst he is with us the next 2 years?

Who cares really?

If I was a Bulldogs fan i'd be cheering.

A knobhead like Mason brings bad images to your club.

Not only that...he is an absolute merkin to boot.

Who cares about this 15 minute footballer leaving...go to England where you wont be so over-rated small willie.

Absolute pea-hearted toss.

Agreed.

I would rather have average players who give their all, are loyal and stay out of trouble then superstars who try to run the club and hold the club at ransom.

Top 4? It better turn out that way or we will know who to blame, Noad.

Dogs board should be congratulated. Noad and the board handled themselves well despite what the papers say.

I can't believe some of these posts! Mason is in the top 5 forwards in the world, and a consistent performer. If he plays well- he lifts the whole team. I would give an arm and a leg to have a player like that in my team. If the roosters think O'meley is worth 400k, than mason should get 500k.

His got a big mouth no doubt, but really, what harm has he done. His never done anything that really deserves some of the flak that his copping here. And as loud as he is, i can imagine a group of guys embracing him rather than him being some sort of loud mouth believing his a one man team.

His had a disagreement with his bosses, and wants to move on. Wouldn't be the first person around to be in the same situation. I think this has been blown out of proportion, and believe that a proven and consistant nsw and aus rep would be wanted at any team.

Kane Cleal and Jarryd Hickey....good luck

You forgot Justin Tsoulos. ;-)

The only disappointing thing in this for the Dogs is that they have let go Asotasi, O'Meley and others in the past to accomodate his contract.

And for the people jumping up and down about people not wanting Mason - history has shown this is just a long line of problems, not isolated events. He has shown in the past he is looking out for himself only and its surprising IMO that the players are giving the Bulldogs board an ultimatum. He hasn't been as loyal to them as they have shown otherwise he wouldn't have made the threats to leave in the first place.

The ball remains fairly in Mason's court however - if he believes he can stay and work with the board then the Dogs don't lose anything. Chances of that happening now appear slim.

well you hope the it means that SBW will have impact to help you get over the fact he isnt there anymore. You basically just lost your front row which also means that teams will be able to concetrate on shutting your backrow down more effectively without O'Meley and Mason up the middle. Will be interesting to see how they go next year

You should pat Noad on the back for allowing/encouraging the release of Sherwin too. Give some young blokes a run in the halves. Speaking of which, what's the drum with Holdsworth did he injure himself or was he dropped?

And the Dogs will be back, if they miss out on the 8 in 08 then they'll be a force again in 2009. Them and the Broncos seem to keep losing big names year after year and yet they still manage to turn it around somehow.

Not something you can put your finger on but they have a much shorter redevelopment phase than other clubs.

Drop to PL. Wasn't playing the best.

His form in PL was shocking too. Could have played his way back if he played well in PL.

Yeah I always rated him, still I guess he's got the whole off-season to get another shot. One of him or Roberts needs to learn how to take a game by the scruff of the neck.

..and if they can't then the Dragons will probably sell them half of their team anyway. :x

O'Neill played his best footballl in years with us. Sure, he came with plenty of baggage, but I was sorry to see him go after two good years. And, in any case, that was the bad old days, we don't talk about those days anymore :D
