It'll be interesting to see if he's picked this week anyway with Gidley most likely back.

I think he has to be picked. Maybe over Joey. I Understand Gids deserves his spot. So either start Sione on bench or centres. I'd almost replace houso for Joey. Randall is needed because of the heat up there will be too much to ask for Clydesdale. Let alone he thoroughly deserves his spot. We lose nothing when he comes on.

With Sione & the brothers looking more and more likely to re-sign it's probably going to come down to Gagai or Mamo going elsewhere next season. I'd rather keep Gagai but if he wants to go back to Brisbane then it's out of our hands.

Does anyone know James McManus' contract situation? When does he come off contract?

BJ is quite possibly the most naturally gifted centre in the game. He issue is he is very much immature both on and off field. Gagai is a case of who knows. I think sadly Bennett will win that one. Shame. Gags could be a club legend here.

I wouldn't say BJ is a naturally gifted centre. He struggles with passing and setting up his winger badly. He does have an amazing physicality about him though which can't be taught.

I really hope that the new contracts arent written to end at the same time. I'd like siones to be for a year longer than the other two. That way we we'll have less dramas with offloading one of them if need be.

Same.

I'd prioritize Sione's contract over Gagai or Leilua's.

If we were to sign Gagai this week we'd be paying overs. Sure he had a good game, but we've seen him have good games before. He was in the top 5 last year for players with missed tackles.

I find it pretty difficult to prioritise the centres. Sione is at a different stage of his career than Gagai or BJ. On the other hand Gagai and BJ are the same age and at the same stage of their careers but they both have very different strengths and weaknesses. They're polar opposites as players.

Sione has to be the number priority, he's the best outside back to come out of our junior ranks possibly ever, for an 18 year old who isn't a natural fullback to handle the position the way he has says a lot about his maturity and ability

He has the size to be a front rower and a very dynamic one. Maybe we have the answer we need right in front of us. He weighs 112 kgs and if you watch his roosters days he is very good at putting on a hit. He would thrive in the middle. His leg speed and drive are excellent. The obvious flaw is the fitness and his dedication to making tackles. He certainly can be a back rower though if needed.

Not sure if BJ would go for a move to the forwards. It's a lot easier running at centres and wingers.

Saying that though I think he has the attributes to be great there if he wanted to. He has the size and dynamic running style. His brainsnaps also wouldn't be as bad if he didn't have to worry about passing and setting up his winger for tries like he does at centre. His brain snaps seem to come when he has to think too much. He can barge over for a try or pop an offload but the wheels fall off the moment he needs to be involved in anything structured.

2nd fow for BJ maybe, as he is only moving in one from the edge. Prop.. no way. Bj would make a very good hole running back rower. Obviously fitness and defence would be an issue.
