He’s been a lot better defensively this year. Their right edge with Reynolds and Graham has been the weaker side.

I agree, play him as we intended to play Watson against tiring defense.

I prefer Mann at 13 than 9. The quality of service is too far apart. Mann does better just running into a half gap and getting a quick play the ball.

We don't play well against teams that throw the footy around, I think we lose comfortably unless it's one of the games where Souths drop the ball every five seconds (like our first game against them, although when the passes started to stick they put on three tries in 12 minutes).

I can see them getting off to a hot start while we continue to play dour one out stuff getting further behind.

Well putting pressure on them when they have the ball by gettimg of the line and being aggressive in defence (for 80 mins, not 8) will go a long way to forcing Souths into errors.

frustratingly so. Besides the one out flat footed attack it's the main thing that has me screaming at the TV. Our defense is far too passive for my liking.

I'm going to go out on a limb here, a very long limb, and suggest that AOB has been putting on a ruse here.

So basically a few weeks ago, our finals spot was pretty much wrapped up. AOB knew we were good enough to get there playing really bad footy and wanted to hide our secret attacking moves to unleash them in the finals. So we basically did no attacking and only did one out stuff.

Now, the finals are here, we will unleash the beast. Boom.

Mann probably been told we need better service, so threw in the 5/8th line to not get benched (wherever the coach needs him).

Best for team is not 2 halves with no creativity.

Is it in Mann’s contract that he has to start or something?

It’s best for the team if he plays the utility bench role. Obi must see that and is just throwing off to keep Souths on their toes.

Randall should play all game no doubt about it.

We would really see Lino's defense issues highlighted in the big games though his goal kicking has got to be worth 4 maybe 6 points. He's playing better than Pearce to be fair.

I watched the first game against the Rabbitohs again last night. It may have been Mann's last game at 5/8th and he actually went really well.

I think we'll know in the first 10 minutes if we make a contest of this one, by our defense intensity and not allowing many offloads.

I'm excited for it but I've set my expectations low.
