Watching finals has always depressed me. So envious of the top sides, wishing that could be us one day but let’s face it... won’t ever happen.

The bit that gets me is the fact that last year, Penrith were trash. They could barely score points and they leaked points so easily, now look at them... 16 in a row and going on to perhaps win a comp just 12 months later. Dylan Edwards couldn’t catch a cold last year but now he is one of their best every week.

Even Parra managed to turn a spoon year in 2018 to finishing 5th last year and 3rd this year....

This club just continues to disappoint year after year

Do we have finals footy in us? I don't think we can lift to compete with either Penrith or The Roosters based on what I saw tonight.
I can't think of a recent game where we've successfully come back from being down. Our plan is to get on top from the start and keep ahead.

I get your point but I just think it's because we all believe the team can do better than what they have.

I think if the team played to their potential we could go a long way in the finals - Beat Souths then Parra and play Panthers week 3 is not out of the question if they play well and fire up

A difference between the first off hit ups from both Penrith and the Roosters and us is that they hit the line and angled across a bit. That broke up the defence and allowed offloads and passes into gaps. One of the commentators mentioned that about the Roosters but Penrith did it well too.
We tend to hit straight up and try to steam roll the opposition and get prm to lay a platform for later. Or we swing in the tackle and try for an offload. It has worked but not as much of late.

Repeat sets, line break assists and strong defense also help though.

Defense hasn't been the key issue this year. Our shocking attacking is pressuring our defense. Also, im not worried about the boys, just Pearce.

just look at the Shark's right now, not particularly great attack, their enthusiasm in defense is getting them into the game
