I know its round one and I am by no means getting excited, but f**k thats a nice thing to do huh?

Round one win over the Chooks, one of our bogie teams, who just signed one of the greatest players of all time and against Tedesco who pulled off three great handling errors.

Im just going to trust Ivan and see how we go now.......

That was f**ken awesome. I was thinking we had to put Nofo back in and then Thompson scores that try.

We had some good performers out there. I think our front row is much better this year after losing Woods. We actually have heaps of options in the halves as well beacuse Benji was great. Brooks was pretty good as well. Defensively they were both huge.

It was a really low scoring game in that defence dominated. We looked pretty ordinary in attack at times without any spark. The Rorters weren't very good either.

Our props were huge. Packer, Matulino, Eisenhuth and Twal laid a platform for us. ET was great but he missed Blake Ferguson and it led to a try. Rochow was really good and Lawrence was solid. Chee-Kam was decent when he came on. I think when Aloiai gets back and is fit he has to get a spot. Felise and Sue also must be pushing for a spot.

Marters was really good. Thompson scored the match winner and it was a great try but he doesn't have the impact Nofo has bringing the ball back. Thompson was though really good. I can see why Ivan initially choose him at fullback.

Our halves were really good. Benji controlled the game but Brooks was good as well. They both pulled off some great shots defensively.

It was though a team effort and our defence was great.

Naiqama was crud. MWZ was okay but we needed some impact and our back three to me aren't good enough at this point.

I believe we will b best served with Thompson at fullback & Fonua & Nofa on the wings. We need to find a better left centre than the pathetic Naquama.I hope Milne is good enough to lay claim the left centre spot

I agree with this. I really rate Tui but we need Fonua and Nofo in the team. We lack strike power and those two provide it. Maybe play Tui in the centres. Naiqama shouldn't be there.

We could swap Marsters to the left and play Milne on the right.

I suspect that after that win, barring injuries, the same team goes out next week.

Niggles to Nofo and Grub, but they are going to have the train the house down this week to get picked.

I get the impression Ivan was rewarding the off season in round one and will continue to do so until something f**ks up.

Regardless, very happy with our depth this year.
