Nah, that honor goes to the second 20 minutes of the game from the entire team. He has probably cost a chance to win it, though. Small, even petty distinction perhaps... but we need to be better for 80 to win games. That was a truly deplorable period of play.

True and no denying that. But after hitting the lead a good team closed it out. We had them rattled. The one priority had to be keeping them away from our end, and he just served it up on a platter.

To be fair Lamb has only played about 5 first grade games. There have been so many moments in this game that have cost us and that definitely wasn't the worst of them.

Warriors are never going to be more beatable than that. No Vatuvei, Luke and Mannering off and we still can't do it.

We were better in many areas. But when still can't defend when you immediately turn the ball over or give a penalty, what hope have you got?

Seriously, what are we paying Hodko for. Doesn't kick in general play - and when he does they're terrible - and missed two clutch goal kicks. All this after being a 'matchwinner' at the Bulldogs.

It really was. I honestly don't know why halves can't kick away from fullbacks. Sure you can't get a repeat set every time, but you should be able to make defending teams work for it. You can literally kick it anywhere, and he we regularly kick it straight to the player who is most waiting for it and likely to punish you.

I think that was Hodko's best game for us. Very low bar, but he cleared it.

Those missed goals hurt though.

Yeah, I've gotta say the lack of any kicking in general play from Hodko was noticeable. Is he worried the bottom half of his leg will fly off?

Phythian is our best kicker by miles. Was always going to be tough once he went off. There's a case to be made for him as a 5/8th. Who knows when we'll see him after that injury, though.

Lamb was pretty disappointing today.
