And one last question Madge be fore we wrap it up. You appear to have done a fantastic job with the team - getting them to own their positions and getting every ounce of effort out of each of them but why I have to ask, if you dropped Brookes did you put him on the bench. It could have backfired with a tougher opposition tonight. It seemed like you didn’t really want to drop him and in that sense you almost stumbled on this halves combination through suspension and public pressure. What was your reasoning there.
And will you be using that same strategy next week against the Eels or are you finally convinced Brookes just isn’t good enough?

Broncos were never in that from the moment they pulled their jerseys on...I've never seen a more disinterested team run onto a football field. Even after losing as a team 48-0 there's three of them sitting side by side doodling on their phones. ..a year and a half in that's on Seibold 100%....the same year and a half in, the starch in.our club is also on Madge 100%....polar opposite transformations...we'll get better ...the Broncs will get worse before they see daylight again under seibold
There was trouble afoot as soon as Roberts couldn’t relate to Seibold when he needed a softer touch and he scadoodled to Souths...His tough uncompromising approach to the players for some reason worked at Souths but at the Broncos not so much causing others to follow Roberts out the door..This has to be up there with the highest levels of humiliation for a coach that Ive seen considering not long ago he would have thought he’d done a job on Madge and Bennet to claim first prize. ....Shit no wonder Matty would rather stay at Fox Sports instead of coaching. That fall from grace would send most people over the edge weather he gets paid out or not..Lockyer was a big part of Siebolds appointment and he’d be feeling the heat as well.

Those try’s from Walters especially and Leilua just took just my breath away. That swivel from Lucy was sweet to watch and the sprint to the line with Croft reaching for thin air was magic from the big man. You couldn’t even say Walters try was an accident, not just the intended kick ahead but also somehow beating those two Broncos players to the ball and applying downward pressure in the wet conditions. Prob the best individual try of the year.

Both halves have total faith in their abilities regardless of what the other is doing. Benji has been crying out for that. (And Benji was just being Benji mixing it up with deft touches, varying the speed of his no look passes almost creating try’s at will and as usual making them all look easy eg Garners try).

That should change everything for us especially with what the rest of the team are doing and can now do more of. By how much we will see next week. But barring injuries now, imo the sky’s the limit.

As much as I enjoyed last nights win and that we played solid, I think our club needs to be very wary with that win.
That win said a lot more about the state of our opposition than it did us. When you look at all of our tries, the vast majority of them were due to the most pathetic, lazy attempts in defence I have seen from a first grade side in a long time. We can only beat what is in front of us but we need to keep in mind that the Broncos would have been flat out beating any team last night.
It was bloody great to see the boys firing in Leichardt though :)

Congratulations to your boys tonight Tigers fans! Despite how the Broncos are going at the moment, you can only play what is in front of you, and your mob did it in spades tonight.

Benji turned back the clock tonight, Billy Walters was impressive, and Harry Grant was back to his good form once again. Luciano did well. It is sometimes hard to believe that he is Joey's brother!

Madge seems to be gradually instilling a great attitude and mental toughness at your club. The benefits are starting to be seen first hand. I am sure he would have been as privately delighted sticking it to Seibold as he was proud of the performance of his team. It was a good press conference by him I thought. It always helps when you win, to be fair though.

Anyway, well done, back in the eight now. Tough test next week against Parra. That will be a good gauge.

As much as I hate your latte sipping, salary cap rorting, talent poaching, entitled excuse for a team...I really respect you as a person, and thank you for comments like this.

Probably why you guys win so much.

I love Leilua. He is a beast and he has skill. What a player. Benji was great. I think he is our best half by a mile if he gets his defense right.

That to me was a great win.

I've thought for a while Aloiai is our best middle forward. I don't think it's close. Twal is good but he runs a bit upright and doesn't have the athleticism that Aloiai has. Aloiai gets us going forward and is even not hitting hard in defense. He was awesome. Packer was also great and that was awesome to see. Garner and LL were great on the edges as well.

Our spine were great.

Granted but when Brookes came on you could see what him and Reynolds would have prob dished up. Likely a dour affair in the wet with mistakes galore. And likely a closer score line. This is a big step up. The halves are so important And to have both being able to contribute is new ground. It’s been like a caged animal wanting to escape to inflict some damage but the doors been locked..esp with hopefully some players returning soon..But have to wait a whole week to see.

Brooks showed what he can do - he is a great runner of the footy. He also stuffed up a lot didn't he. Reynolds is crud as well.

You'd think we would be running with Walters & Benji in the halves for a while now.

I always thought he was good. My wife watches heaps of rugby league and she said he was good when he signed with us. I reckon Saints stuffed up letting him go.
Always had talent....but his workrate was pisspoor at the dragons. We have a very good backrower on our hands.

All though Brisbane were bad, I thought our team as a whole was the side that was right and all players will be hard to be dropped.
I mean BJ, Musgrove, Twall & Brooks will struggle to get back in. Still can’t understand why we had Brooks on the bench.
WE NEED A GOAL ..

I think he has played 80 minutes every game and he is having an impact throughout the game. Our pack rolled over Brisbane. Sure they have injuries but we rolled them.

WE NEED A GOAL KICKER.

I think Mbye is going to be moved on at the end of his contract as well. He isn't offering us enough. I still think he is better than Momo but Mbye is overpaid and I don't think Madge will allow that to continue.

To be fair to Momo, we haven’t seen much of him, though if theStorm wanted him, he mustn’t be too bad.
Mbye just isn’t doing it for me.
Would’ve like to see Brooks have a go at 9 when they gave Harry a spell.

Really good win, you could tell from both teams opening sets we were up for it a lot more then them. Our pack was excellent, Packer played his best game since early 2018, Aloiai continues his rise to a premium prop and even Eisenhuth has been great since Twal went down.

Not getting carried away as Brisbane were below nsw cup standard, just impressed that we played for the 80 and took pride in the defensive line late in the game.

For the first time in forever no injuries or citings from a game. Twal back next week but not sure who for, maybe McQueen?

Aloia. Packer. Eiso . . . actually every single player deserves a mention. Except maybe Mbye and Talau . . . they were a bit quiet.
So this is what it's like to be a Storm supporter ?
We got every 50/50. The poor donkeys just couldn't take a trick. This is where the saying "you make your own luck" comes from.
To me, the proudest moment in the game was when Packer and Aloia went nuts when the broncs dropped the ball 60 seconds out from time and they knew we'd keep them to zero.
I'm feeling that good I won't even tap the Mrs on the shoulder tonight.

Momo hasn't looked that good from what I've seen. Still Momo wouldn't be getting paid a lot whereas Mbye supposedly is.
