Not sure if you noticed but the bloke playing 14 is actually a Halfback.

Pearce is absolutely done, no idea if it is injury or he legit is on the downward spiral, but this is not good enough for a halfback.

Put Crossland at the 7, and use this time to develop him now, we are not a title threat this year, but with some tinkering, we could possibly put together a Penrith for next season.
We are still in the top 8 and play the Tigers, Eagles, Cowboys, Warriors, Sharks, Roosters, Dragons and Titans, and you want to blood some young blokes rather than try and win some games?

Righto...

You mean like how they are winning games now?

You list those teams like there's some sure bets there... We aren't making the 8 with that attitude, as if that's not proven already.

Got to agree. It’s best to keep Pearce in the side until we lose our next 3-4 games, and then bring in some other players once the season is over.

God there are some sooks in here.

I’ve been part of this forum for 17 years and seen some pretty dire seasons, but the whinging now is as bad as it’s ever been.

I am serious.

So Hoy and Crossland are going to get us to the finals are they?
Who can be sure? However right now, play 5 options (or lack thereof) are our biggest problem. They have cost us wins. Pearce is playing without thinking and is making decisions before considering his options ala his SOO form. No looking around before receiving the ball and not even looking left and right after receiving. The option is premeditated and panicked. Also, he doesn't learn lessons as evidenced by his lengthy career.

There is no way known that Hoy and Crosslands are going to be worse attacking options than Pearce in his current form. The season will slip away if we persist with him and I believe Obi will axe him this week.

But that's the thing... it's not possible to win games if you don't score points.

I think the difference is this year we have the team to do well. Obviously injuries hasn’t helped though.

Moga's efforts are definitely a concern. Seems to do okay but even on the Tele it's easy to see he ain't putting in as much as the other lads.

Pearce was getting pounded by the commentators as well. Just give last kicks to Ponga, Mann or Crossland.

Storm were just a class above. We needed to be near perfect but just not good enough today.

Guarantee Pearce doesn’t get dropped for the rest of the year.
