I think it's comfortably the most shape we've shown. We looked like the team contained an actual half back.

Some of the runs were selfish, sure, mainly because his body is letting him down but he's also the only half we have who's willing to kill a play when it's not on vs throwing a shit pass anyway

Definitely looked much better in the 13. More room, more time, and less appealing to the ref. I’d like to see him stay there for the rest of the year, with Croker off the bench in rotation.

Brailey at 9 is a problem though. Guy looks completely lost out there. Let’s hope Arthur is progressing well enough and gets some chances in the run home.

Yeah given we have no clear cut lock option for next year with Elliott possibly going I’d give Crossy more of a run at 13.

Brailey is obviously the problem then for the rest of this year, but he might be less of an issue with the main spine back. Need to get Matt Arthur some game time to see if he’s a realistic option there.

His skills at hooker are actually still pretty decent, better then Crossland anyway. He just makes so many poor or selfish decisions now. Someone needs to take away his kicking and barge over licences for the rest of the season of he's going to be starting.

I think his speed has become an issue too (not surprising considering how many injuries he’s had). He’s definitely more of a natural hooker than Crossland but doesn’t mean much when he’s still making really poor decisions. He was good against Manly so I’m hoping he might have thought he needed to do too much last night with us having so many out and he’ll be better when some players return.

An offshoot upside of Phoenix away from the ruck, he could add a 3rd/4th string kicking option of decent talent, which would at least provide some doubt on the chasers. Even the little things can make a difference.

Crossland was doing well being the link man but was passing the ball way too early instead of engaging the line before passing. However, didn't do anything stupid all game, defense was top notch again and maybe he was the reason we looked quite fluid in attack?

Crossland looked bigger than Radley. I wish we had a proper hooker so we could play Crossland at 14.

Crossland had our highest tackle count. He was good in cover coming in as last tackler but did a lot of first up too.

Marzhew was our best run metres. Overshadowed a bit by his error but I thought he was committed in bringing the ball back and making ground

Finally got to see the Wong try. What the f**k 😂
Try everyday of the week, doesn’t have to have control of the ball because he didn’t lose it, only has to place downward pressure on the ball with hands arms or torso. Different if he dives over and gets two hands on the ball and loses control, then he has to regather and control.

We are agree. We just saying the Knights wouldn't have gotten that call because we are cursed.

Man I must have watched a different game. I thought Hastings showed he's easily the best 7 to have played for us this year.
That no claim to fame though. 40+ tackles in the opposition 20m for one try is the real indicator. Hastings offered something different but he's a terrible halfback. Kept running the ball even though he's too slow to be effective, can't kick long because of his 80 year old knees, gets in the way and hogs the ball.

He's better than Cogger but barely.
